  1. It could be a network issue but in the meantime try this. I'm going to assume you updated the PRL and your profile. In the past what's worked for me is putting the phone in 3G mode only and restarting. Once it's back on change your mobile network back to global. Next go to the phone dialer and enter *#*#4636#*#*. Under phone information turn off radio and the enable it again. Everything should work now.
  2. There's a possibility that Google might wait until the nexus 6 has been out a few weeks. I believe this is what happened when kitkat came out on the nexus 5. Nexus 4 users were stuck waiting for the update.
  3. If your on a preview build than more than likely you will not get a notification for the OTA update. I myself went back to kitkat to wait for the update. Otherwise you'll have to flash your phone again with the official lollipop build once it goes live.
  4. I'm actually on lollipop right now and I've noticed that I'll drop to ehrpd a lot more than before when I have a weak lte signal.
  5. Entirely up to you if you have some free cash. I'm considering buying one myself but I want to read the reviews first especially those not on major online publications.
  6. Has anyone noticed any decrease in download and upload speeds? Before I flashed to lollipop I was getting roughly 50/14 at my house. However now I'm only averaging 32/10. While I can't sure I want to say that the UL and/or DL channels used to be 65535 but now I'm seeing 40521 most of the time.
  7. I agree. I bit the bullet a few hours ago and flashed my phone. So far so good.
  8. OK cool. I'm considering flashing the preview but I'm just not sure how stable it is.
  9. EvanA, with that being said have you noticed any negative impacts with the battery or data?
  10. I've been considering installing it but I've heard some of the standard Google Apps are missing like Chrome and I Google play music. Is it stable?
  11. This may be a hit or miss issue and it doesn't seem like the new Android L radio improves it much. Or am I wrong?
  12. From my experience with tmo I had an LTE signal 95% of the time in town and when I was on edge or hspa it would switch back within seconds once I was within LTE coverage again.
  13. Google has been updating all of their apps with the new material design. I think this might have been the last app to get the new look and feel.
  14. I don't think there's a definite date yet but It'll probably launch with the nexus 6 sometime this month and roll out to the 5 a few weeks after that.
  15. Right now it fluctuates between - 100 and 88 dBm. But I've noticed regardless of signal strength it still occurs.
  16. I recently switched from t-mobile to sprint and I've noticed one issue that's been bothering me since. It seems that every time I'm on b41 while browsing the Internet my battery gets really warm. Something that I never noticed on t-mobile or while on Wifi. Ideas?
  17. So a different issue all together now. I've been noticing the past few weeks that my phone gets rather warm during casual usage on the web browser. The back light is usually on auto or 10-15% of the maximum brightness. Google Now is disabled as well as location services. Android OS, Android System and Google Services seem to be in the top 3 spots for battery usage aside from the screen. I only let a handful of apps sync in the background, work email, gmail, contacts and a few others. Lastly, when location services is disabled what prevents an app from requesting your location? Or can an app continually request your location thereby keeping the device awake?
  18. I don't think I was seeing the exact same issue you were. There have been only a handful of times where I was unable to to move back to LTE from 3G but I have a feeling that this was more of an issue with the towers here in town. I've only see the 1X issue once but a restart resolved it. Hopefully everything will be better once band 26 starts to roll out here in San Antonio. Swintec, my initial post was in regards to zippychance's issue with incoming calls. You should also check out SignalCheck Pro. It's a great app that helps you monitor your connections in the notification taskbar and its fairly accurate to what you would see on the LTE Engineering screen.
  19. I had a similar problem when I first moved over to sprint from t-mobile. Everything was working fine except for outgoing calls. Eventually what I had to do was go into the mobile networks menu and put the phone in 3G under preferred network type. I then proceeded to reboot. After the phone was back on and had a 3G signal I changed the preferred network type back to global. Finally I went to the testing menu (*#*#4636#*#*) and turned off the radio under phone information and then back on. For some reason this restores all calling function for both incoming and outgoing. Also, the reason I recommend switching to 3G only before reboot is because for some reason if I don't do this I end up with the same problem as before.
