Sprint Considers Delaying June 12 Vote on SoftBank Deal... OMG! No More Delays!
-
Crest Financial Demands That Sprint Allow Clearwire to Pursue a Competitive Bidding Process. LOL
-
We will only know on Friday if Clearwire will vote in favor of the $3.40 best offer by Sprint or they will play hard ball which Softbank had said will not allow Clearwire into bankruptcy. November is only 5 months out. How much will it cost Softbank to keep Clearwire alive for 5 months?
-
I'm not surprised. They would be happy to over pay even what Crest wants for Clearwire. This is all a game for Charlie Ergen.
Robert
Can the deal be done even with all the restrictions? Will Clearwire vote this Friday?

Link is no good. Try this: http://www.4-traders.com/DISH-NETWORK-CORP-4870/news/DISH-Network-Corp-DISH-Network-Announces-Tender-Offer-in-Letter-to-Clearwire-Board-of-Directors-16915476/
What is up with this. This is bad for Sprint which Clearwire is set to vote this Friday.

Yeah, it looks like SprintLink operations are going to be separated internally for CFIUS approval.

Dish came up with this to counter: http://nationalsecuritymatters.com

Committee on Foreign Investment in the U.S., Bloomberg News reported Tuesday, citing a person familiar with the matter.
The person told Bloomberg that the CFIUS, Softbank and Sprint reached an agreement after the deal was reviewed.

What is the likely hood of getting a smart phone that supports all three LTE 800, 1900 and 2500 this September?
-
-
They had chosen WiMax because that was the tech which was available at that time. Sprint will have more capacity when they finish obtaining Clearwire.

Does anyone know if NV has been completed on the Santa Catalina Island?
-
-
If you can drive by it and you get 4g
not always the case. in san diego many sites are within 1 mile apart and you can be getting LTE signal from a farther tower.
-
This is where I live and it is bad. And that store is where I bought my note two last week. Lol. According to things I've seen here, it appears NV hasn't touched the San Ysidro towers yet.
Yup, 4-5 towers in between the 5 and 805 hasn't been touch in San Ysidro. There are many completed sites with 4G along Palm Ave though. It is getting closer to San Ysidro. Maybe it is in progress. Same in Paradise Hills this month with no activity. The whole area is now 4G this weekend.
Become a Premier Sponsor, you will get access to maps with the exact locations of the towers near your area. You can drop by those sites to see if there are any activities.

I'm curious is this phone unlocked by default?
-
Nothing yet. I'm up near Costco area in Poway and no LTE here.
My company might be taking 75-100 phone lines and jumping ship soon to another carrier.
Where is your company located? In Clairemont Mesa/Balboa its covered, in Mira Mesa/Miramar its covered with LTE.
Just last week we had no LTE in Paradise Hills. This weekend all covered with LTE
We almost jumped ship to Verizon too, but knowing that Sprint is upgrading all towers it will only get better and will be comparable to Verizon or better. Just remember Verizon had only upgraded some towers to LTE where Sprint is upgrading all towers where possible.

Mapped LTE on Sensorly throughout Paradise Hills today. More and more coverage each week.

It seems to be specific to Sprint. No one else can get cell service down here at all, not even a text will go through. I know for sure Verizon and AT&T users have nothing.
Kasier Hospital here in San Diego, they are using Sprint Direct Connect. I would assume that is why it is specific to Sprint.
Why would they use SDC? Just saw SDC phones in the ER operating room couple times I was there.

Once they install the new gear and panels, you should expect better signal. I found on the corner of 805/94 freeway going towards Euclid Ave there is a dead zone on the freeway so you drop your calls. Now that NV has been completed between the 2 sites along the freeway with new panels up, I am assuming they had changed or improved the tilts. My phone does not drop to no less than 3 bars from that dead zone. Much improvement from my experience. From no bars dead zone to 3 bars.

LTE was found next to site on Logan and S Euclid Ave. Also, LTE next to site on Skyline and S 61st St and confirmed visually this site has new NV gear which most likely was completed recently. Both of these sites are in South East San Diego.
Both location are mapped on Sensorly

Network Vision/LTE - San Diego Market

There should be more sites going live in Mission Valley soon. Majority of them are waiting on AT&T fiber installs. AT&T dragging their feet on many sites in San Diego. It sux for Sprint to depend on fiber from their competitor.
Welcome 4G LTE to Mission Valley! Getting average 25Mbps+ at this site.
