1x800 is broadcasting from 4267 W Loomis Rd, The tower is making it to St. Lukes.
Well which tower is it? The one on Morgan or the one on Loomis. I'm on 9th and Morgan so I'm curious why I wouldn't get if it's coming from 22nd and Morgan. How can you tell which one?

With my G2 I got 800 east of 94 and carried it on the freeway north until about the airport area. I think I started picking it up around Farm and Fleet.

Amazing phone! I wish I didn't work in a market which was not ready for this device. I took it back today. Oh well, I will be ready for the next great device that is prepared for the network.

I think it would be nice to have a running list of SE Wisconsin areas that can successfully connect to LTE from triband devices.
I get no 4G around 10th and Mitchell where in the past I would.
-
Would the Samsung test driver know of the problems with the Tri-band devices and when the towers are going to updated to the point of Triband devices not having lte connection problems? Is anybody getting lte from these devices? If so, at what location?
-
When using the G2 is there a setting to have the phone automatically orientate the words in an article?
-
Called customer service about the connection issues. Without being solicited he confirmed that customer service was on the bottom of the knowledge food chain. I told him the name of my phone (G2) and he said I have no 4G. I then asked him to check the coverage on my Evo LTE. He said I had 3G plus. Well at least they know there is a difference in coverage.

Hey Robert, what's up with the site's notifications? Not getting them by email for several days now, and now Tapatalk isn't giving them to me either? My other forums (like XDA, etc.) email notifications and tapatalk notifications are working fine though.
Any estimates on the time to fix this problem? I just bought my G2 and if this isn't going to be taken care of soon I want to be able to return it and get a current phone in the spring.

As a Milwaukee resident and a current owner of the G2 I would like to know what situation I am in. I am not holding on to this past my 14 days if I'm going to have to wait to get lte.
-
Hopefully never but Sprint absolutely has to get it working in areas that have officailly launched. The areas that haven't launched with people using LTE right now can complain but really the LTE isn't official yet so there isn't much we can do about that even though it doesn't seem "fair".
When you have a old phone that was using LTE 3 days ago and you bought a new phone to get better reception (better than the evo lte) and you now get NO LTE it's more than "fair" for them to take in back. Lawsuit is pushing it a bit.

Is the issue going to be by market or tower? How will this affect the Milwaukee Madison market? Is there a list that would show the possible problem areas?
-
Looks like you need to enable cellular/mobile location services in your device's Settings menu. See here: http://www.bluelinepc.com/signalcheck/help/#nodata
Thanks for the info. It now works. Which reminds me of something else. I had a notification about Qualcom location (or something ike that). It said it would improve location services on my phone. Was that the thing that you just mentioned or is that something else and if it is what does it do?
-
Do I need to do a side by side comparison with a different LTE in an area with a decent signal to see if the phone is having problems connecting? Any other ways to accurately check?
-
I just activated the device about 30 minutes ago and I am having issues with the Signalcheck app as well where it is not showing my 1x and EVDO values. I haven't had a chance to test it out in a LTE area but I am worried that it is not even showing up 1x and EVDO values. It shows the Wifi values just fine though. Anyone else seeing this issue or can help explain why this is happening?
I'm getting the same. Are they trying to do this? If it is, they are making people worried.

Yup, they all state Spark Support via an update. So in theory, none will be able to access out of the box without some sort of tamperingW
What was the source for the thought of Samsung being updated out of box or updated first?
-
Thought the same thing.

What is this? I didn't notice anything funny about the G2 demo unit at Best Buy, but I haven't used the phone that much.
dots you can see in the screen when a bright external light is on the screen.

It's a LG thing. The Optimus G from last year had them also.

Marketing, whatever I don't care. Milwaukee is going to be announced as a 4G market. PROGRESS!!!

If I decide to go with a warranty, which place would be better?
-
LOL, yeah the driver went on a bathroom break, how convenient. Seems like an inside job to me.
Does Sprint insurance cover lost or stolen phones? What's the deductible on that one?
-
You created a separate thread to ask the same question. Please leave it at one or the other -- do not cross post.

Searched and couldn't find--Just found it. OOOPS.

Is there any disadvantage of buying it at Best Buy rather than a Sprint store?
