So you have Verizon 3G and 4GLTE png files on a Sprint device?  Basically what I am asking is what do the png files needs to look like in order for the phone to recognize it.  Is there a way you can post them.

You need to go through your phones files and locate the Verizon logos.  The 3G one is the same, but the LTE one is different.  Mine was file:  stat_sys_data_connected_4g_lte.png.  You need to rename this file to the one your phone currently uses.  My phone was originally set to stat_sys_data_connected_4g.png for the standard 4G logo.  You need to rename the stat_sys_data_connected_4g_lte.png to stat_sys_data_connected_4g.png.  That way, it tricks the phone into looking at the Verizon file, since you renamed it as the standard 4G file.

Does that make sense?

Where did you get the Verizon .png files from?  Do you have the Verizon 3G and 4G .png files?  Can it just be any pic of the Verizon 4G LTE logo and saved under the .png format?

They were already on my phone.

Has anyone seen or can check for LTE down Woodruff Rd. towards or even past Five Forks headings towards 101? I'm on the fence to committing to Sprint or Verizon for Wireless Broadband and if LTE is imminent, I'll hold out for Sprint.

Wait for Sprint.  There wasn't any LTE live on Woodruff when I was there last week, but it's really close.  The towers are just about ready to come online, and there is a strong signal in that area, so you should have good LTE service once they come online.

Oh, on a side note...

They are putting up a new tower just a bit west of my office at work.  I stopped by and asked the crew who it was for, and they said that all 4 carriers will be on it within the next six months to a year.  AT&T is first, then Verizon, Sprint, and finally T-Mobile.  They just broke ground for the bases for the tower at the beginning of last week, and it's already just about all the way built up now!  The tower is owned by American Tower.  Glad to hear that coverage is about to get a lot better soon!

Got 1x800 in Florence the other day at work!  I was out working and noticed that I had one bar.  I opened SignalCheck Pro and it said 1x800!  The tower was on the south side of Florence, SC, near 2nd Loop Rd.  The range was awesome, even through the city with big buildings in the way.  I held the signal about 6-8 miles north of Florence.  Shouldn't be long and LTE will be coming up.

I mapped out a good bit of the Mauldin area this afternoon. That site is particularly strong. -53 dbm LTE signal strength about .2 of a mile away. That's the highest I've ever seen it go thus far.

Last weekend, while out boating on Lake Norman I connected to 1X 800!  Not sure where the tower was, but when I clicked on the BSL link, it took me to somewhere near Boston, MA!

I've seen -130 dBm on my Note II, in fact just the other day.  Lowest I've seen it go and hang on to the signal.

All day at work yesterday, I didn't get eHRPD at all.  Only EvDo Rev. A.  This was in Florence, Hartsville, and Darlington, SC.  Tried restarting the device several times, but no avail.  As soon as I got back to the first tower in the Charlotte Market, bam, eHRPD.  I think it may be a MSC issue.

Went to Wilmington, NC this past weekend, specifically Wrightsville Beach.  No LTE at the beach, but I did check the one 4G complete tower showing on the map and mapped out some Sensorly!  Got a signal on S. College St, but better coverage on Carolina Beach Rd.

Was on Laurens Rd. north of I-85 today and got LTE.  It didn't last long, as I turned onto Haywood Rd.  Glad to see LTE coming up in the SC market finally!

Driving from Charlotte, NC to Greenville, SC and back revealed that most Sprint NV upgraded towers along I-85 have only the new NV panels, as they removed the legacy panels.  Didn't know they were doing this yet, however, seems like the right thing to do, given that the legacy panels are pretty much useless after they replace the cabinets.

Well, driving to work today, I connected to 800 on a completed tower in Hartsville, SC!  SID 22429, and I held onto the signal for about 10 miles after passing the tower!  After experiencing it personally, I have a great feeling about Sprint for the future!

Happens to me quite often, even with strong signals.  Don't know why.  Usually a restart will fix it.

Awesome news! Hope that guy was right, and wasn't just saying that. Keep us updated. I know they have started full builds all over the place down here in Myrtle Beach and all down 501. It would be nice if they start lighting up LTE here too! Let us know when that tower goes live

Well, coming to work Monday, the site was back online, but no LTE.  Shouldn't be much longer, as most sites are either in progress or done around Hartsville/Darlington/Florence.  Also, given that the sites in this area connect to the Columbia MSC, I think it's got to do with that.  Maybe the switch isn't quite ready to accept LTE yet.

They must have gotten plenty of notice over the past 1+ year?  Did they just ignore it?

I noticed that when I was there 2 weeks ago.  They were still using Nextel.

However, today I stopped by a tower in Hartsville, SC that was offline (one to no bars about 2/10 of a mile from the tower).  Saw some men up working on one of the racks.  Stopped by the tower and they confirmed that it was for Sprint.  This tower has shown 3G complete for a few months now, but they just installed the new panels and RRU's this past week.  The guy said that the tower would be back online in 2-4 hours, and said that they were going to fire up LTE.  Hope he is right!  I'll find out on Monday when I go to work.

Ok, has anyone heard anything about LTE anywhere else in SC? Because this is starting to get ridiculous. My brother is about to drop Sprint now because where we are in the upstate we've had absolutely abysmal service for the past month now. Data speeds are terribly slower than usual (averaging around .08 mbps) dropped calls out the wazoo and text messages that take 3 minutes to send. My brother is on the phone a lot and he has about 10-15 dropped calls a day, not an exaggeration. We even called Sprint to complain and they verified the amount of dropped calls we've been having are very high. This wouldn't be so bad if Sprint hadn't kept telling us that all the issues would be resolved on certain days which definitely did not end up being the case. I'm honestly tempted to abandon ship too but I'm not going to. Any news updates would be much appreciated. 

Just drove from Charlotte, NC to Greenville, SC.  Lots of towers are already upgraded with NV panels and RRU's.  Just about every one I saw along I-85 from the NC border through Spartanburg are done.  Just either waiting on fiber, base stations, combination of both or just simply Sprint choosing to wait to activate LTE all together.  Good thing is a lot of the work is done.

Are you sure that you did not read it incorrectly?  SID 1643 is USCC.

Sorry, you're right.  1643 is correct.

Happened again today.  Started on Sprint, 6 bars near the tower.  I initiated a call and it ended up on US Cellular.  I looked at the screen after I had figured the call would have dropped, and the little roaming triangle appeared as soon as the display turned on.  The SID before the call was 4376.  I checked SignalCheck during the call after it had switched to roaming and it was 1648.  Any ideas on who the SID's belong to?  I would assume 4376 is Sprint, but not sure about the 1648 (US Cellular). 

The people that I went with have Verizon, and the LTE was unusable in/near the Disney parks, especially the Magic Kingdom.  I did a speedtest on one of thier handsets and it pulled 0.10 / 0.05 Mbps!  Switched all of them over to the 3G and it worked great with 0.80 / 0.75 Mbps.  As for the places that I got Sprint LTE, it worked very well, with most tests averaging above 6 Mpbs down.  3G, forget about it.

I'm in Orlando at Disney World. First off, when I got off the plane, all I got was roaming! Was surprised at that. Got LTE outside of the airport however, but that didn't last long. Driving down I-4 to Disney, all I got was 3G and it was super slow! No eHRPD either anywhere in Orlando, it's all EvDo-Rev. A

I'll have to say, that Orlando is awful for Sprint right now. Probably the worst I've ever experienced. I'm at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and I mainly get Roaming, with maybe one bar of Sprint from time to time. Very disappointed in this market.

**A side note, I did pick up 1x 800 MHz on the plane flying down. Took a screenshot of the SignalCheck screen and it was Band Class 10 with an SID of 22429.

What I found works is that you stop the update and hit the update button again, your will be corrected. Some how it is a problem that plagues everyone. I have experienced to, not every time though. On wifi it is different, but on the cell network it happens.

Yep, you got it right.  Just hit cancel, and then update and accept again and it'll go fast.  Weird...

I'm not quite sure how I did it, but I managed to use about 650 MB of data roaming this month! 

All together, 3G, LTE, and roaming, I've used about 10 GB's this month!  Most ever!  I really still don't know how I managed it though... 

Oh, I thought you had to use a different program to do that before, lol. It just came up automatically for me this time.
