  1. eHRPD isn't the only issue now.  I've lost some 800 towers around here.  They've went back to 1900 only for the time being.  And a strange issue that just started happening is LTE on one side of my apartment building (east side) doesn't work, even though I've got a -96 dbm reading on SignalCheck.  If I got to my apartment, it works just fine (west side).  I have to change to CDMA/EvDo to get my data to work again.  Hopefully they straighten it out soon!

  2. My family back in the Wyandotte, MI (Downriver) area are getting really frustrated.  I can't even talk to them for more than a few minutes without the calls dropping.  It's happening to everyone in the area, and it's been going on for about 2 months.  I keep telling them to hold on, the wait is worth it...but to be honest, that's a bit long for the issue to be going on.  They did call in and were given $25 off the bills for the next two months.  What I believe is happening is the handoff from legacy to NV equipment is really screwing up.  Now that the two towers there in Wyandotte are complete (or near completion), it should get better.  Only time will tell.

  3. I've noticed that here in Charlotte, we haven't seen eHRPD in a few months now.  Wonder why this may be happening.  As soon as I head to work, which is in the Myrtle Beach Market, I'm on eHRPD.  It's kinda frustrating, since when you drop off of LTE, you have a gap in the data stream falling back to EvDo Rev. A.

  4. I

Don't qoute me on this but I think with android 4.3+ signal bars show lte. So with sprint using 1900 mhz for lte mostly at this point your just bound to have a weaker 4g signal then 3g. Sad fact of 4g, better speeds means less coverage.

I don't think it has to do with Android, but rather that the device is tri-band.  Refering to the recent article, we learned that you can only be on one type of network at a time.  Thus, when on LTE, the only network that the device can see is the LTE.  Therefore, the signal bars will show LTE signal strength.  When the device switches to CDMA/1X, it shows that signal strength.

  5. Just went into a Sprint Store and played with the Mega.  Man, that thing is huge!  I'm gonna wait a bit though until we start seeing some 800 LTE roll out before I jump on it.  Probably will be my next device though.

I know I'm definitely going to change those ugly looking data icons, ugh...haha.

  6. I have never had a problem on 1x800 with my Note 2.  I have never updated the firmware on it since I got it.  It still has the October 31, 2012 L900VPALJC.  Could this be why I don't have a problem?  Just curious, as I am currently using the 512 PRL.

  7. It happened!  One of the completed towers in Darlington went live with the last update.  I mapped out some of it at work today on Sensorly.  Got 18.29 down and 6.22 up!  I'm really excited!

Well, today at work, LTE has disappeared from the accepted Darlington site!  It was on for about 3 weeks, then nothing.  Hopefully it'll come back online soon...  :(
