  1. Fair enough. I personally have no problem with 1X roaming since its really supposed to be there for last resort anyway. If we all had 3G roaming, the extra cost would just get passed along to us one way or another.
  2. It's such a shame that Verizon treats roaming traffic like a 4th-class citizen. When Sprint customers are roaming, we only get 1X. Basically, roaming on Verizon is good for a phone call or SMS and that's it. Data is just about useless. haha T-Mobile has these exact same problems when roaming on AT&T. They slow roaming traffic to less than EDGE speed. Again, good for calls or texts, useless for data.
  3. I did some traveling today and ended up in Lexington. Glad to see some B26 action over by the UK campus.
  4. Same with the tower closest to the new Park West shopping center over at 54 and Cary Parkway.
  5. Anyone else notice an LTE outage today around Morrisville? I live out near McCrimmon Parkway and Davis Drive. I normally have a very strong LTE signal at my house but today it's been nothing but 3G.
  6. I just flashed the OTA ZIP file manually in stock recovery. Sent from my Z Ultra Google Play Edition using Tapatalk
  7. I sort of do. I have a Nexus 5 on Sprint, a Sony Z Ultra GPE on T-Mobile, a Moto G GPE on Cricket (AT&T's network) and a Nexus 7 on Verizon. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  8. Yeah for some reason only the system texting app can actually get alerts. If you owned a Galaxy S5, for instance, Hangouts can't get alerts since it too is a secondary texting app. You can only get alerts via the Samsung messaging app. Stupid, but that's how it is. 9. This. The changes may not even be related to Sprint. They could be T-Mobile specific, or GSM in general. Let's not forget that the Nexus 5 is first and foremost a GSM phone, and the fact that it works at all on Sprint is, for all intents and purposes, gravy. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  10. Yes, most likely. What's funny is that Samsung's kernel source for the new GS4 GPE update still has that vulnerability in it. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
  11. It's definitely real this time. Samsung also released kernel source for the GS4 Google Play Edition, which only happens if there's an update imminent. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  12. There is a new update being rolled out... KTU84P. Wonder if it'll have a new radio Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  13. What app are you guys using to figure out what band you're connected to? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  14. My .13 radio has 25 at 1, 26 at 2 and 41 at 3. Under edit, every band is set to 1. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  15. If they did, that would be huge. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  16. I recently activated my Nexus 5 on Sprint just because I can. Here in the Raleigh, NC area, the LTE is good and strong in my house but when I'm out, I seem to be on 3G way more than LTE. I'm not sure if this is related to the eCSFB issue with legacy towers or if it's just that 1900 MHz covers like crap, but either way, this is going to get old really quick! I'm driving to NYC in two weeks so I'll be interested to see how coverage is up and down the I-95 corridor and I'm interested to try Spark while I'm there.
