  1. I clicked on the link but it doesn't really take you anywhere. At least it didn't with me.

My apologies, I'm using a desktop right now.

Basically Best Buy offering a minimum of $200 trade-in value for any turned in smartphone towards the purchase of Sprint iPhone 6s/6s Plus on contract.

  2. Question for those of you on legacy plans and iPhone forever. I have a ED1500 plan with 5 lines. The contract will be up in November on 3 lines at which point I believe they will be eligible for 2 yr contact upgrades. A different line is only about a year into the contract but is eligible for iPhone forever. If I update that line to iPhone forever will it affect the 2yr contract upgrade eligibility of the other 3 lines? I assume the answer is no but was curious if anyone has some expertise in this.

No it won't.  I have 3 lines on my ED with 2 under contract and 1 on lease.

  3. wow. I hope that is available through November.

It says minimum for any smartphone but then in the fine print says not all phones are applicable.

So I'm not sure the $20 LG Walmart special will work. Maybe a Best Buy rep on here can clarify.

However if you are that close (November) Sprint may let you buy into a new contract for a reasonable price.

  4. The fact that Apple refunds the unused portion of AppleCare, then I say yes, it's worth investing in.

I did find out that Best Buy offers AppleCare + for $7.99 a month.  Something to consider instead of putting up $130 up front for what would essentially be for a year if I trade the phone in next year.

  5. Here is my internal #iPhoneProblems dilemma, I am on a ED plan and qualify for iPhone Forever on two of my lines.

I can roll into a Sprint Store or Best Buy and if available walk out with a couple of 64 GB iPhone 6S Pluses for nothing out of pocket and after loyalty discount and phone turn in would only cost an extra $30 a month.

If I take advantage of the iPhone Forever option of trading the phone in next September for the latest iPhone, then I wondering if I should bother with a warranty.  The phone will still be under Apple warranty by then.  And other then theft or water damage (which I've seen a YouTube video of iPhones being submerged for over an hour and still being functional), the only other damage that can really occur is a broken screen and those I believe cost only $125(?) to replace.

Given those circumstances I'm wondering if its cost effective to invest in a protection plan.

  6. I'm curious what buying option (lease, EasyPay, full price, subsidized, Apple Trade in Program, etc.) is everyone using to get their phone and what protection plan/warranty, if any, is everyone using?

I was attempting to create a poll and can't quite figure out how to add one or I may not have the right permissions being I'm not a sponsor.

  7. I assume no... As you have to turn in your phone. And I doubt bestbuy sends it to Sprint.

That said it would be nice to have a solid answer. I asked Sprint cares via twitter. Can't get the same answer twice :-/

I'm going to call my local Best Buy myself tomorrow. Worst case I have to buy 2 LG Sunrise phones for $20 each at Walmart to turn in. One to Best Buy and one to Sprint.

  8. any Best Buy. mobile dept folks here?

just curious about that new $200 trade in offer AND $200 port in gift card offer. I don't have devices to trade in - but like the $200 port in GC. And can you still get Sprint to pay off your equipment if bought via Sprint?

Wonder also if your trade in counts towards the iPhone Forever lease discount?

  9. Also live on the site in Northeast Louisville at I 265 and I 71. Better speeds too. I would love to break the 100 megabits per second barrier. Sprint would be the first carrier in Louisville to do so. Verizon has twin 10x10s on AWS here and I know they are also firing up carrier aggregation but I haven't seen it from them here yet. I will say though that my Verizon line typically pegs at the max speed the spectrum will allow so they dont seem to have the back haul issues Sprint does around here. I'm rooting for Sprint to hit that triple digit Speed first!!!

With all the second band 41 carrier showing up in this market I'm betting they will all have CA soon if they don't already.

  10. Very curious about the iPhone (6 or 6s?) for $1 on contract.

The transcript shows he said 3 year contract instead of 2 so maybe he was mistaken all around.

Or maybe it will be a Black Friday kind of deal.  Who knows.

This type of offer has precedence:

  11. So $15 iPhone Forever price offer ends today and tomorrow it will be $22?

So people will have a phone for possibly 15 days before trading it in? Seems like now that we know the official preorder and available dates Sprint should extend the $15 until the end of the month.

  12. Just as an aside this may be the case currently but I am 95% certain that iPhone for life plans were offered $15/mo legacy credit to get the cost of an iPhone 6 to $5 back in last October which is where the confusion comes from probably.

That is true but that was also only for everything data and a few other plans.

  13. I have the iphone for life plan. It was $50 for unlimited talk, text, and data with a leased iPhone with payments starting at $20 I believe

    iPhone 6:

    $20 - 16GB

    $25 - 64GB

    $30 - 128GB

    iPhone 6 Plus:

    $25 - 16GB

    $30 - 64GB

    $35 - 128GB

Don't quote me on the exact pricing, but IIRC  that is how it was set

    edit: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/6727-sprint-plan-guide/

there is the information on the original iPhone for Life plan

That plan is not eligible for the loyalty credit.  Pretty much the plans where you have a contract and subsidized phone(s) are the ones that are eligible.
