While I may not need 15Mbps down on my phone, a network that's designed for 15-20Mbps is more likely to still give me 2-3 Mbps or more when I'm on the fringes of a cell, and/or as the network becomes overburdened. Kind of like how Sprint's 3G network is designed for 600K-1.4M, but really only delivers 20-100K to many users today. I'm not suggesting the NV network will get as bad as the legacy 3G network as far as theoretical max vs actual speeds, but I'd still like to see a network that is capable of significantly more speed than I could practically need, because I don't expect to get anywhere near the max speed depending on location and as users in the cell increase.
I am waiting for Clearwire to make an official announcement when they will start launching LTE. Check out their story.

Won't be Sprint's savings though.
It can still benefit Sprint and Clearwire in both ways. WiMAX needs to be phased out soon for full LTE power!
-
I wonder how much savings will there be in WiMAX Thinning once Clearwire starts deploying LTE.

Today may be your day to make your small profit!

Why would the iPhone Sleeves need 3G Support if the iPhone already has 3G?

Well I got better results today than yesterday. It varied greatly...
Are you on 3G?

Clearwire announced today that their 2nd Quarter Financial Results Conference Call will be on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at approximately 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time. It happens to be on the same day as Sprint Conference Call, but it is at a later time.

Sprint and Clearwire announced that they will conduct a panel presentation titled "Carrier Point of View" at the Wells Fargo Securities 2012 Wireless Spectrum Symposium. I wonder if they are going to announce something big.

I am just happy that Clearwire doesn't use 3.5 GHz like how they do in Europe. It is better that they are using 2.5 GHz in United States.

It is not a good start this week for Sprint's stock.

This topic should help answer your question.
Information about S4GRU Sponsorship levels and how to become a Sponsor

I'd help you out, but you're a Sox fan.
Seriously though, That info can be found in the Sponsor maps.
Bearboy is not a sponsor yet.

2020, that is when you can talk about 5G. Anything else would be ludicrousness.
I can't believe Broadcom is already talking about 5G WiFi.
-
I don't know why they ever wasted tax dollars on this in the first place... if you are stupid enough to get that dns changer virus on your computer, go to best buy and have them fix it or buy a new one
Or call in the Geek Squad!

Is this the future of 5G?

I think that I am doomed to use the Internet for the rest of my life.

I wonder if it will have LTE.
-
Honestly, I am somewhat skeptical how much, if any LTE 1900 we will see from C Spire. LTE 2100+1700 (AWS), wherever possible, seems far more likely. And, ultimately, C Spire intends to utilize its Lower 700 MHz (band 12) spectrum for LTE.
AJ
And this is the most important point of all. Thanks for bringing us back around AJ.

I thought C Spire is going to deploy LTE on its 1700 MHz AWS Spectrum and 1900 MHz PCS Spectrum before it deploys LTE on its 700 MHz LTE Spectrum. That is what my source say.
-
Yes, I can see that. I had already started writing my response when Robert posted his. Sometimes, that happens. Is that a problem?
AJ
Not really.

You are right. It takes time to deploy LTE, and Clearwire needs to keep WiMAX up and running to pay for operation cost. Another fact is WiMAX is still more efficient than iDEN and EVDO.
