No I had not used that. Thanks.
I just tried and it does not list Sprint on that tower, but I know for sure Sprint equipment is on the tower. I'll keep doing some more digging around.
Are you looking at Tower Results and Antenna Results?
-
Thanks for the responses on this everybody. Did anybody have a chance to look at the pictures? I believe it is the top rack of antennas but with all the equipment on there it can get confusing.
I might try to go out and get better pictures of each rack to do a comparison.
Has Sprint and/or Ericsson used different panels in the past?
Have you checked AntennaSearch?

Does Sprint outsource their sales team?

Of course, now that I have this AT&T hotspot too I can confirm that it's not Chrome. When I'm on the AT&T hotspot I don't get that alt-text, but back on my Sprint 3G card I do.
Guess when you don't get unlimited data they want you to use as much as possible.
Can it be the DNS Server?

No. I'm going to release an article on the 1x/EVDO on 850 and 1900. I will be in Waco on Labor Day weekend, and I will test the 4 LTE devices I have there then in a separate article.
Robert
What are you going to be doing in Waco on Labor Day Weekend other than testing LTE?

Fastest I got here in Brooklyn NY was about 16 Mbps. It was consistant too. The lowest it dropped to was about 13 Mbps.
What device were you using?

Is leap going to offer multi spectrum devices to utilize whatever they are building on aws and Sprint evdo?

I believe they are building LTE on the AWS Spectrum.

What is eHRPD?
Please check out the S4GRU FAQ for an answer before asking. http://s4gru.com/ind...sked-questions/
eHRPD - Enhanced High Rate Packet Data – a software overlay that allows for smooth handoff between EVDO and LTE

Robert is absolutely correct. The FCC does not need to impose a 2G GSM/GPRS/EDGE shutdown; market forces will eventually take care of that. But the FCC may actually seek to slow down the 2G sunset if the 2017 date would unduly harm AT&T's roaming partners -- many of which are small GSM only carriers. For roaming, GSM is still the lowest common denominator in the 3GPP camp, just as CDMA1X is on the 3GPP2 side.
AJ
Are you talking about roaming partners such as TracFone Wireless?

AT&T is planning to shut down their 2G Network by 2017.
AT&T said the transition away from Global System for Mobile Communications, or GSM, and Enhanced Data rates for GSM Evolution, or EDGE, will be on market-by-market basis. Service on the networks will be fully discontinued by about Jan. 1, 2017.- 1

It can't be as worst as AT&T.

typically in my area its 4-5 bars, some only 1 bar, highest speed in my area on hspa+ was 6.14 down and at the same time 1.74 up.
Most 2-4 down is typical.
I know evdo is 1.5 down or so max... in all honesty 800-1.2 down is all I care about as long as I can stream with no issues I'm happy
That is a little slow compare to T-Mobile HSPA+.
-
thanks guys...
actually I have an S3 on its way from Amazon - and just wanted to see if I was going to be disappointed much lol
AT&T with HSPA+ is fast in the area around 4mbps down (but also has patches of late where it hits 400k and even EDGE is creeping back into the mix, maybe LTE work going on but I doubt it.
The lower fees with Sprint and no data cap is what drew me back (I left about 8 months ago and was getting about 100k)...
I'll report back later in the week-end
Do you get any faster speeds with AT&T HSPA+? How high is your signal when you do a speedtest?

Well, this signifies that AT&T is truly serious about WCS as its next LTE band, and it likely takes AT&T out of the running to acquire DISH's S band/AWS-4 spectrum. So, with an AT&T option off the table, look for Charlie Ergen to partner with Sprint and build out his LTE network on the Network Vision platform.
AJ
Okay, Howard, do you now see how non directional all of these "What if..." and "How about..." questions can be? So, if you have a point, please just make it outright.
AJ
Okay, AJ, do you think that DISH will partner up with T-Mobile instead since they are starting their network modernization project later?

What about T-Mobile?

What about Cricket or MetroPCS?

How much spectrum does NextWave owns?

Never, they couldn't afford the union wages of the cell site installers.
How about General Electric? They are already a conglomerate company.

If Sprint ever gets bought out by anybody, I hope it's Google.

Why do you hope it's Google? What if it was Apple?
