  1. Yup! CA's live in about 95% of all sites. Speeds vary between 15mb for traffic heavy locations, to 150mb for really low pop sites. Average about 20-30mb..

I get 20-30 with just an iPhone 6. Around my neighborhood i get into the 40's. Shouldent it be in the 70's at least most of the time?

  2. Yes, the primary carrier has been switched to 41078 in Manhattan.

What speed differences are you seeing compared to previously. Your most likely connecting to multiple carriers.

Alot of people around here so I would get around 1-3 mb/s. Now im getting 10-15 with some dips to 5 now and then.

  3. Question guys,

Here is the deal, I have an iPhone 6 that I bought new shrink wrapped from ebay around april this year.
I wanted to trade the phone in to lease the 6S for $5 a month.

The rep at the store told me the phone is coming up flagged as stolen/lost. I checked swappa and other sources and yes it is fagged. But how is the phone still working on sprint then? Shouldn't the phone be disabled? Sprint is confused as well.

    Any ideas here?

  4. Band priority is still messed up in Manhattan. I was sitting on a bench near 1 world trade. 1 bar of unusable B41, an airplane mode toggle locks me onto a 5 bar B26 with good speeds. 30 seconds later it's back to 1 bar of B41.. This is getting annoying, makes no sense why 1 bar of B41 is taking precedence over 5 bars of B26...

  5. That's network side load balancing, not the phone. Once the phone is on LTE the network tells it what band to connect to based on what the UE reports is available. Sprint probably needs to tweak their load balancing parameters slightly, but B41 is preferred whenever it's available.

Hopefully this will be fixed on the network side then.

  6. Band priority is still messed up on iPhone 6 (IOS9) at least.

At work City Hall I'm stuck on a congested B41, its usable around 2-3mb/s but when I toggle airplane mode I latch onto a B26 that's giving me 10-12mb/s. It switches back to B41 after 30 seconds even though its 5 bars.

  7. I almost left sprint back in early 2013. I told myself I'll give them a year. I am now happy with sprint and glad I waited it out. People can trash sprint all they want because it's the cool thing to do. But what's fun is when my cousin on ATT can't understand why I'm gettingtwice the speed as him in nyc lol.

  8. Whats up with the Band priority? I was on lunch around china town and I'm stuck on a crowded B41 with speeds around 1mb/s. It's two bars but when I cycle airplane mode I latch onto a 5 bar B25 thats going a steady 9-10mb/s, but it goes right back to B41 a minute later.  iPhone 6 if that maters.

  9. Double the capacity for band 41, and carrier aggregation+4x2MIMO for better at edge performance, as well as double peak speeds.

I was in Miami several months back. I did a speedtest in my hotel and I was getting around 25-30mbs download, it was only band 25 which i found surprising. Would that be due to a 2nd carrier? Band 25 in NYC for me average is like 5-10mbs.
