  1. Did you also do the speed tests? Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  2. Join the clan of the obssesed, I use these apps on a constant basis to track lte. I've been wondering about the purples even off of 4th St in Covington which is three blocks away from where I live. I'm yet to pick up any lte there or in the other shaded areas. I'm wondering if the person who used the app had a non tri-band phone. The speeds that were measured in downtown were early in the year, so my only guess is that perhaps it was at a testing time when whomever it was, traced these lte signals. If this is the case I wonder if some of the sites in Cincinnati have been perhaps upgraded but not live. I will have to take my galaxy tab with me next time to see if I'm able to pick any lte in those areas. I will say, I cant wait for lte to be live in downtown, the connection speeds are horrid, almost impossible to access the web and much less post anything on social media. 3. Been without EVDO and EHRPD for 24 hrs. I called Sprint and they said they are working to get the issue resolved and it's set for Tuesday and that I should have better service then. Is this typical of site "revamping"? I know its an inconclusive question, I'm just not sure if that means the site is being upgraded or just a normal "out of service" issue. Just curious if any of you have experienced this in the Cinci area and what was the outcome. Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  4. All I know is that, Purple (Sensorly) and Orange(Sprint) have become my favorite colors. Looking forward to seeing them in my area, well, Orange and Yellow really.
  5. Well, as long as they don't throttle our slow a** 3G speeds in Cincinnati, I'm ok with it. Lol But I agree with a few of the comments I've read, they haven't even finished the NV deployment and they are already talking about throttling speeds??? They are parting the Red Sea, yet again... 6. The Walmart Logo? Lol. I like that. Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  7. I probably should have done my homework on devices per say, before getting this one. But I saw the LTE logo with the little "Spark" on the S5 at the store. and I was like I want it! lol. My tablet picks up lte quite nicely here at work though. Although I will say, I really haven't had any of those big problems that other folks have had. Covington although not "converted" yet at least by the house is ok. I don't really have major issues although at work data is really slow, but they are slowly coming this way, I get unusable Lte off and on all day which to me is a good sign. I've been connecting briefly to some band 41 lte here too lately. So I am good for now, let's see how long I can be this patient.
  8. Yeah, the S3 is a non-triband phone so the fact that you did get lte I have no doubt. Us with Tri-band phones, not so lucky, at least for now.
  9. Yeah, what happened with that? I saw it mapped on Sensorly but went by there the other day, and didn't pick up squat. Maybe testing.
  10. August for downtown? ? So alas to having any decent service during the Summer events in downtown lol. Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  11. Nice to hear, maybe this time they will meet their target of having HD voice nation wide by July. Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  12. Does anyone know if Sprint would use the actual physical Clearwire sites broadcast Band 41? I know the old Clearwire equipment will not be used, but I was wondering if the actual sites would. Three blocks from where I live in Covington, Northern Kentucky, there is a site on the roof top of a retirement home where both Sprint and Clearwire transmit from. Just curious.
  13. Indeed is great to hear! Hoping they bring that lte love downtown just as quick :-) Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  14. My S5 is on the same PRL 51100, I'm wondering if thats device related, now that you mentioned the PRL being the same as mine Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  15. I am assuming all these issues are common in a market that has not been officially launched by Sprint? This is the only assumption that's keeping me holding tight, lol. Would give anything to have lte even if it were at slow speeds, in areas were I normally spend most of my time.
  16. Good to know :-). I'm a newbie to Sprint so I'm still catching up to the latest. Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  17. I agree, on the band 41, basing it on a few sppedtest done in downtown back a few months ago, of 40+ mbs those speeds have to be an indication of b41 type frequencies. We eventually could be in for a pleasant surprise once it's said and done. Hoping since Cincinnati was a Clearwire market, they are working on "recycling" those frequencies together with the deployment of lte in the area. Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  18. True. I'm still wondering if those sites on the maps that have no updates, are sights that have not been touched or were updated quite a while back. I do see proof of Lte close to those areas on Sensorly, but I personally have not seen them. And I do agree, I think progress is happening quicker than we realize. 19. Kinda jealous here.. but in a good way lol. Nice to see Sprint evolving :-) Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  20. All this goodness needs to spread south. Cincinnati is still crawling. On another note here off of Turfway in NKY I was able to maintain an lte signal for more than a minute, enough to barely squeeze in a speed test. Not much to brag about but its a start :-) it peaked at 11ish before it quicly faded. Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  21. Lost EHRPD about 3 hours ago, I've been on EVDO since, I have my phone on lte/cdma. A sign I hope. Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  22. That's one of the sites that is showing up as in Progess, that's awesome! Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  23. I've been getting a lot of chirping but no actual connections here in Northern Kentucky Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  24. They've been pretty busy down here, in the Cinci area hopping we are still on schedule for a June/July launch. I'm not liking that 3G icon anymore lol. Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  25. Definitely progress is happening in the area, which is great to see. I know something must be going on for the past hour my 3G has been in and out and all around. Keeping my fingers crossed. Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
