  1. Thanks a million for the info! Got mine on lte only here behind Sam's here in Florence and am currently picking up Band 41 lte. Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  2. Awesome, thanks! Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  3. I hope so as well. I let go of VZW's lte two months ago and switched to Sprint, so in some ways I did a temporary(at least I hope) downgrade, and I can not tell you how much I miss LTE, so I am hoping it will not be to long before lte and I reunite under Sprint lol. Keep us posted and if you are ever across the river into Covington throw some speedtests this way, I'd like to see where we stand here.
  4. Yeah, same here, I'd say 95% of my data usage is Sensorly and Speedtest related. I know lately, especially yesterday at home in Covington I've been getting some Band41 connections, but not long enough to do a speedtest. I am hoping this means things are ramping up in the area. Damn, I am still at awe with those speeds you are clocking lol.
  5. Sweet J! Now that's worth waiting for... to bad I can't force my S5 to lte only. Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  6. Somewhat un related question here. Today I've seen the lte icon pop up briefly several times, more than usual I'd say, however not enough to establish a connection but it does set off the chime on the app. Is this due to the phone's normall cycle of checking for lte, or can it be due to testing on the actual site? There is really no pattern of occurence so I was just wondering. Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  7. Looks like they've cranked the signal at the Florence Mall tower. It's the first time I get a useable lte signal outside on Turfway & Spiral Dr. Funny cause I'm really close to the Turfway Race track site, however, it's one of the sites that's not been accepted. 8. Same thing happening in Covington, as soon as I get home I have to switch to CDMA. EHRPD has been extremely unstable for the past week and a half. Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  9. I was in Auburn Hills MI these past 3 days, and their Lte was quite bad, considering it was a deployed city. So I'm hoping the wait here in our area will be worth it and not like in Auburn Hills lol. Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  10. The S5 has that option disabled. Unless it's rooted. I tried it and unfortunately it didn't work. Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  11. Awesome, unfortunately my S5 has the hidden menu disabled, so I can't acess it. Thanks for doing this, it's the the only way for me to know the progress of lte around here. Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  12. Sweet indeed! ahhh.. GoBears were you the one who traced the lte in Newport and across the bride into Covington, on Sensorly? Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  13. Where did this info come from? Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  14. Wow, quite impressed with the lte here in Dayton so far, looking forward to it back in Cinci when it's all said and done :-) Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  15. I thought about that as well. Well it will be interesting to see how this phone will work in a live market, I'll have 3 days to play around with it, hopefully to get a taste of how things will be here once lte is officially deployed. Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  16. Oh ok, I was wondering if it worked differently on a Tri-band phone like mine. Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  17. Is this on a Tri-band phone? Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  18. So in essence it is possible to receive data from a different tower other than the site where ones voice signal is coming from. Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  19. Yes that is definitely a site, I still have not driven there to see if the equipment has changed. I did pick up enough to trace between 8th and Pike, yesterday. I will say the lte discovery app did point to the site where my lte signal was coming from, in Florence on Friday. Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  20. I use Lte Discovery App. It has a map, where it shows you where your signal is coming from. I haven't been able to use it here, since the lte signal I get once in a while doesn't last long enough for me to map it. I will have to use it on my drives through Newport and hope I catch a signal long enough to map it. I'm somewhat puzzled with the strong signals traced here along 4th Street back in February. I know there is a sight right on 4th St. But so far on an eye inspection of the site, the antennas look like Legacy equipment. Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  21. I tried to do the same but didn't get any Lte. Definitely testing, at least I think, it being that late at night. I would be curious to know what device was used for that test, and were it came from. I will say, if those are the speeds we will be getting in this area I'd be on cloud 9. Hoping to be able to catch a good enough signal to perform a speed test, around here. Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  22. Seems, like a nice reading in Newport, at 2:00am this morning. Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  23. If he did speed tests with Sensorly Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
  24. You can actually click on the symbols and it will tell you when that specific speed test was done (on the phone version of sensorly) Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
