  1. What specific error do you get? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  2. The 800 rollout isn't near as far along. Give it time and the indoor coverage will increase. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
  3. The Nexus 7 update didn't target Verizon devices. It went out to all LTE Nexus 7's. AFAIK Google has never targeted an OTA for devices on a certain carrier. The spark update will likely be rolled into a bug fix update (4.4.3). Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
  4. If you only recently saw 4G in that area, chances are the software upgrade for eCSFB hasn't occurred yet. Give it a few days and you should see LTE on your N5. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
  5. They did with the LTE Nexus 7 and Verizon. It was the only nexus device to get an OTA and it only made the device useable on Verizon. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  6. You need to remove those site IDs, this is a public forum. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
  7. I thought that was the original functionality. My N5 will only pick up 1x800 if I force it to 3G or 1x only. I have never been in an environment where 1900 was unusable so I haven't been able to test that though.
  8. I have 55018 on my Nexus 5 and I can stil get 1x800 here.
  9. I have tried screen calibration profiles and never liked the result. Switched back to stock profile and it still looks beautiful. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
  10. Small town of Cedarville OH. Covered by one tower that has B25 and 1x800. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  11. Fastest band 25 speed I have ever seen. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  12. Try the Accuweather app. It doesn't drain my battery very much at all with the notification active all day. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  13. Anyone using the Nexus 5 with the .15 radio have any CSFB issues? I'm gonna be in the city next week and wanna make sure I don't miss calls/texts. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  14. I know for a fact both come from the same tower. I'm inside of a brick building with drywall walls. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
  15. Yeah I agree. This is what my signal strength looks like inside of a building. A lot less of a difference. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  16. Looks like the scranton area has all towers at least 3G complete, some 3G/4G and 3G/800, and one 3G/800/4G complete. That should mean that eCSFB is fine, but I can't say for sure.
  17. We won't get the icon because google manages updates. Sprint can't make any modifications to the software and you can bet google won't add that icon to android. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  18. This is the update that enables Verizon compatibility on the nexus 7 2013 lte. Nothing to see here... Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  19. This makes sense, but then why does the phone connect to 1x 800 when it drops to 3G on 1900 in the same area? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  20. FUD Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  21. I have a Nexus 5 and I am in an area with 1x 800 deployed. There is also LTE on band 25. I noticed something odd about how the phone connects to 1x and I am not sure if it is normal. When i force the phone to 3G only mode, it will connect to eHRPD and 1x800. If I have the phone in LTE mode and I make a phone call, however, the phone jumps on to 1x RTT. When on 1x 800 everything works fine, so it doesn't make sense that having LTE enabled causes it to use 1xRTT.
  22. EDIT: I think i misunderstood your question.... For the handsets it requires new hardware, for the tower it is just software. Nope, LTE-Advanced requires a modem that can support it. Currently Qualcomm has 2 modems that support LTE-Advanced: the MDM9625 and MDM9225. Also, those modems only support LTE-Advanced carrier aggregation over 2 10Mhz carriers. The upcomming Snapdragon 805 chip includes the MDM9x35 series modem that has full LTE-Advanced capability.
  23. How long has the area had lte? It is most likely an eCSFB issue. There is a thread in the network section about it. EDIT: Here's the explanation. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/blog/1/entry-357-nexus-5-and-lg-g2-experience-temporary-sprint-lte-connectivity-issues-due-to-circuit-switched-fallback-technology/ Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
