How can I force LTE only mode with the latest version of signal check pro? The layout changed and I can't seem to find the phone info screen with the drop down menu to set LTE only mode. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

Does anyone else think that the new radio might have algorithms to pick 3G over LTE when it thinks the 3G will offer better speed? I don't think the algorithm is able to take into account band overloading because right now my N5 is occasionally switching to 3G when I have -110 LTE but the 3G spectrum is way overloaded and I get terrible speeds on it. On LTE I only get 2mbps down so it wouldn't surprise me if a crude algorithm thought 3G at -78 could give me better speed albeit in ideal conditions. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

I couldn't get mine to sideload the update until I used the flash all script that comes with the image download. I was able to edit it to stop it from erasing all of my data. Cleared the cache too. Update ran fine then although as expected I did need to re root. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk

The command is something along the lines of fastboot full restore (file name) I believe. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

I might be late to the table on this but have you tried a full factory image restore via adb fastboot? I had some wonky behavior on another Nexus 5 that was fixed by a full factory restore via adb fastboot. This is different from a factory reset. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

Only partially true because as I understand it carriers can enable MMS over WiFi. Sprint is the only carrier who has this. The 8sms messaging app settings verify this as far as I know but they might have removed the feature. But in the end it depends on if the carrier has enabled it on both ends. Google Hangouts w/Voice (Was Google Voice)

Does anyone know with some certainty if Google Voice integration will stay around? When it first came out it sounded like Google wanted to role it out to every carrier but that hasn't happened. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk -

Correct, same here. Group SMS and MMS bypass voice for me too. I can only send and receive them from my phone using a SMS messaging app (not gvoice app) Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk -

Agree to not needing to disable, upgrade line, then re enable. Agree that it doesn't support group SMS or MMS well or rather at all. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk -

Sprint integration is on but the issue happens very rarely for me. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk -

It could be related to network upgrades in your area. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk -

I've noticed my other devices ring several times before finally coming through to my phone. I have on a handful of times had my phone with good signal sitting next to me and it never rings through - but that is not the norm. If I were to speculate it could've had something to do with overload on the back end and. Other users have reported delays in audio, slow to connect when making a call, and a delay in making the connection when answering. I've experienced all of those things as well. Other users have speculated on a quite recent upgrade to the back end based on a sudden mitigating of these issues so perhaps things will improve for you if they haven't already in the last couple of days. COZisBack just launched a Google Voice thread for us. Could we try to direct Google Voice and Hangouts conversation there? http://www.s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/5848-Google-Voice Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

Hi everybody - there are plenty of Google voice mentions here at S4GRU covering things both common and obscure. I think seeing as we are all sprint users, many of us are quite technical, and many of us use Google Voice that this space could serve as a hub for Google Voice conversation both here and for the web in general. I meant with one integrated and one non integrated number on the same account. Per dkoellers comment. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

Can you make outbound calls that show up as the non integrated number? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

I stand partially corrected. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

I had a gv number before integrating and Google had an option when I was switching over to pay 20 dollars and keep my Google voice number. I doubt much has changed just based on how little other aspects of Google voice have changed since I integrated. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

Same. Never had an issue with integration. Been using it since it first came out. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

I've had good performance overall with .15, but not much over .17 but I'm not in a spark area. I would hope that generally at least where I am in a Samsung market the csfb issues have largely been mitigated. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

See these links. Battery technology (lithium ion and lithium polymer) is essentially the same between notebooks and cell phones http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1490 http://www.samsung.com/us/support/howtoguide/N0000137/2500/93324 And here is a peer reviewed journal article from nature http://www.nature.com/nmat/journal/v12/n6/full/nmat3623.html Anyways, I won't entertain the debate anymore. Have the last word if its that important to you. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

For what its worth as a comparison my screen use usually runs less than 30% with moderate usage. I'm also in an area with hit or miss cellular network. Again, for what its worth. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

Do you have your brightness all the way up or have it on automatic brightness and been using it in bright areas where the automatic brightness would max the brightness out and drain the battery? Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk

Most companies (apple, HTC, Samsung, etc) all recommend some form of battery calibration. I won't waste anymore time debating it. Theres plenty out on the net about this debate already. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
