  1. I just can't wait for clearwire on every tower in cities. It would be sick. I don't care for speeds but slowing down. I like the same user experience every time versus what it is like know on 3G. Never know if it is going to work.

Every tower in the city? O_o I didn't know that. I seriously cannot wait once LTE is 100% delpoyed in every market on all 3 bands. Loving how sprint is rebuilding its network for the future.

  2. Probably not hear much of anything else until the Clearwire/Softbank purchases are complete. This is what they announced mid last year. http://corporate.clearwire.com/releasedetail.cfm?ReleaseID=667820

Cool I read more info about their LTE network on their website and it looks like they planned to release a LTE advance network that can get about 100mbps down. I wonder sprint/SoftBank plans to same once they acquire clearwire.

Do I necessarily need to have at 100mbps down, absolutely not but for bragging rights it would be nice if sprint/SoftBank does plan to have those kind of speeds on that network

  3. Random but do you think sprint should revamp its plans after all the acquisitions go through. I know sprint has the best value plans on the market compared to its competition but at least it's competitors have different options. I would like for sprint to keep unlimited data but I would like to see them offer data cap plans (2GB) that will be cheaper than the 79.99

Also for family plans it would be cool if they can offer a 700 min everything data shared plan.

  4. So in the aftermath, if the Sprint/Softbank/Clearwire merger/buyout goes through without a hitch what damage did Ergen do to the future finances of the new company? I heard a lot of money that was supposed to go toward network improvements/expansions were instead given to the shareholders so does that hurt the New Sprint in the long run? Can they still participate in the 600mhz auctions?

I heard sprint is getting less capital on this new deal but sprint will be saving 2billion a year with the SoftBank purchase plus sprint will soon make a profit from the iPhone and Nextel being shutdown so all of that will more than likely go to the network.

  5. I was thinking about switching to tmobile too but I have 800mhz in my area as well as 4g LTE so I'm ok ^_^. 2014 and going forward will be great for sprint, LTE should be deployed nationwide on 800/1900/2500, voice on 800, LTE advance, and possible more acquisitions. SoftBank will turn sprint around

  6. If Dish is completely shutout of the Clearwire spectrum, they might or might not bid for T-Mobile. Their 40Mhz of spectrum is hardly enough to accomodate a fixed broadband network. It will be OK for a mobile network. Do they really want to pay a lot of money just to be the 4th wireless provider? I don't think so. Now if they get a substantial portion of Clearwire's spectrum, then going after T-Mobile makes sense because they can get them to host the Dish+Clearwire spectrum. Dish has a ticking clock to deploy their spectrum, selll it or lose it!

Sprint will be going after T-Mobile because they think that the only way to compete against the big two is through scale. T-Mobile brings both spectrum and customers. The integration will be rather complicated, but well worth it. Now if they do merge, will they have to divest some spectrum. Possibly. Which band will they have to do that from?

I hope dish is forced to sell its spectrum. And idk I'm guessing sprint will sell off the 1700 aws spectrum? I'm new to all this lol.

  7. Dish will make a bid for T-Mobile, but not without Clearwire spectrum. They need Clearwire's plentiful spectrum for their fixed broadband plans.

The problem for Dish is that Sprint has their eyes on T-Mobile as well.

Sprint still has eyes for tmobile?

  8. Ah that's cool I shouldn't have assumed everyone had a free hour at work to study this stuff today :) Dish plays a great game of poker and forced sprint into desperation but sprint sprint has closed every door they could think of with this latest deal. A big one being get it all wrapped up before clearwire runs out of money.

I only wish crest would have to sell their shares for 2.97

Awesome just can't wait until we get the news healine Breaking "SoftBank transaction was approved" and "Sprint/SoftBank owns clearwire" Sprint/Softbank definitely needs to up its marketing game next year. LTE advance & unlimited data will be a big keep sprint competitive

  9. What? How would we know that? Also what opening do you see for dish to counter? Sprint added a lot of secure assurances this time around through backout fees, individual minority shareholder deals, moved up shareholder meeting and governance changes that allow for 50 percent approval. Dish's only shot is to make an offer SPRINT can't refuse or drag things out in court.

You're right I just don't want this to become a bidding war but I'm sure we will get clear wire. I'm just ready for Triband, LTE advanced and then the 600mhz auction

  10. To prioritize 800 you need to:

    1. Get your MSL # (If you do not have this you will need to call Sprint to get it)

    2. Install QPST on your computer.

    3. Download a PRL that prioritizes 800 or make your own PRL. (I use PRL 21086x downloaded from this site)

    4. Use QPST to flash the PRL to your phone.

Anytime Sprint pushes a PRL you will need to do this again unless the new PRL functions as you wish.

I can do this on a basic flip phone like the duraxt
