I went to that store that told me they have them and it ended up being a lie. Luckily I had the day off otherwise i would be pissed that on any other work day I would drive there at lunch to end up with nothing but air and broken promises.

They took my info and said they will call me when it comes in but I'm not holding my breath. Fool me once...

I can't order it online since I'm placing it on easy pay and doing ein swaps on a few devices, so I'll just continue checking the stores.

    TS out

If you used the same avatar here as in sprint id realized who i was talking to lol

  3. I have a metawatch now...it gets the job done  the best part is being in a meeting, get a text or other notification and im not grabbing my phone a flick a glance to the watch, i know the info i need.  and if i need to respond i can make that decision. i dont have to look like im not interested in what my boss has to say by looking at my phone.. all the freaking time...

I want a more feature filled one than what i got now, it does what it advertises and it does it well but the idea of google wear operating system has me sold, i really like google now, and having it on my wrist is even better.  i wasnt sold on the galaxy gear, either the first or second one...  but the moto360 so far(granted its just hype till we actually see it later this month) but so far i really like what i see...

  4. Hi, does anyone on here know how I can whipe the "username" its like an email I guess Sprint used to use but new cusomers dont have it on there phone?  (An example smithr123@sprintpcs.com).  I am wanting to sell my phone but I do not want that on there and my phone number.  I found this under the "phone identity" under "about phone".  I can not seem to find any information on this anywhere!  Please help!

    factory reset your phone

  5. The other thing coming this year is WIFI calling directly on the phone as an option...  I was also told by the Sprint sales store across the street from my condo in Charlotte that they are adding a tower fairly close by as well which should help coverage...

the S4 and the Note 3 already have it, im surprised that the S5 didnt have it out of the box.

It works really well... it will certainly remove the need of an Airwave altogether

I imagine it will be on OTA update really soon for the S5

  6. You are the perfect person to totally test this out. Then come back here and tell us all how good or bad this works.

How is call quality over the Wi-Fi.  Can you really dump the Airave?

Test it out good and be critical.  Is it really an acceptable service that can work for most people??

I personally do not need it but we all want to know how it works.

i posted that before i really tested it... i thought it was working, but later on i noticed that i had a notification saying that i had an error in activation, i clicked on it, it said it was activated and working on my phone(like it did the first time) but when i tried to use it the notification came up again... i tried a couple things i saw on android central but nothing worked yet... figured id try it again when i got home after work...

but as soon as i get it to work right ill let you know

    whats the question?

Who is taking down the nextel equipment in each market?

The people that are putting up the Network Vision equipment are taking down the old nextel/sprint equipment when they do the build out, so it varies from market to market city/city

  8. I was staying in the eastmark development off Ray....i think that's what it's called. I could not even hold a data connection. I tried everything even went back to a stock prl with no 1x800 turned on cdma only it was just not happy in a lot of places. I'm glad to here its improving and it sounds like your having a better experience so that's great to hear. I was just visiting so it's no big deal just an observation from another market with different vendors. Oh and to answer the question I am on a note 2.

oh yes i see why you had problems... just south of the old Chevy proving grounds yes down there is challenging hell till just last week i didnt have any 4g data in in my house just a few miles away...

williams field and power got 4 g recently

but the two sites near eastmark are NV complete just not 4G yet...

we havent seen any 800 in the east valley yet... there were a couple in west mesa though

  9. I actually gave up and turned it off at the house. I can't imagine it being worse. It really made me appreciate our vendor here. I will say it was better in downtown. But in Mesa no bueno. Missing the 80 degree weather already!

well living here... i can most definitely imagine it being worse... the differences between now and just a couple months ago are night and day.  I dont know where in Mesa you were but i get 4g on the 202 almost the entire trip between AJ and the Airport as well as on the 60 and the airport... in fact last week i was watching youtube videos while my car pooler drove.  and bringing down at worst 7megs at best 17

just a couple of months ago that wasn't possible..  in fact a couple months ago it was near impossible to listen to sticher and drive to work...  without constant buffering

  10. When NV,shouldn't lte be on the same system as 1X?

    on that Site...

but what if you are getting LTE on one tower but 1X on another that happens alot... even when both towers have LTE sometimes a different site has better conditions angle of the panels no big tree in the way... a hill etc

  11. But LTE is known for having a slight bit less coverage than voice/EVDO. So the exaggerating LTE coverage part kind of does answer why it has LTE only parts. 1x in my experience has always been farther reaching than LTE because LTE kicks of around 115-130 on Devices, because data is no longer usable.

thats true but since there is no way to tell on that map which towers it says is influencing the markings on the map you cant tell if its because of signal propagation or obstacles from less distant tower ... and we are seeing the signal from a more distant tower that we never ever thought of.

if the map let us select and deselect towers we could then guess a little better.. but it doesn't and it wont ever thats why the map is so absolutely frustrating

  12. attachicon.gif3g.pngattachicon.giflte.png

When I look at Boost's coverage map and found the LTE area are extreamly large. Little bit curious. So I switch LTE on an off. It appear to me that there are places where you have LTE coverage but not voice(CDMA) coverage. How does that happend?

so the op says that coverage map is correct and you all say its wrong and don't answer the question lol

the question was why would there be lte coverage in an area but not voice

it happens because of the propagation differences between the frequencies, also LTE could be off one tower without obstructions  and the voice on another without a clear line of site. the areas not covered may have a higher altitude or be in a valley..

the coverage maps are a conglomerate of what every tower is doing...best case scenarios.  what the tower will do if perfectly set up.   it doesn't ever bring into account obstacles and its impossible to see which tower a signal is being broadcast from .  that's why its notoriously bad to use. but at the same time as you have seen you can find potential anomalies and the only way to tell is to test it like you did..  not just dismiss it completely

it would be great tool if you could turn on and off towers to see the effect on the map. but alas it doesnt..

  13. I got an update downloading.... Slowly... Hopefully it's 4.4 will update when I know for sure lol because it wouldn't be the first time an expected update turned out not being the one u wanted lol

  15. I had no idea that Mediacom existed outside of Iowa.

well thats not surprising all the Iowa Snowbirds/transplants  out here in AJ probably had something to do with saying hey i had mediacom they worked great in iowa..  i had never heard of them till i moved out here... i thought the entire valley was serviced by cox.  hell even cox customer service was confused by it... its weird..

  16. Dont confuse other cable companies not coming into an area to overbuild with your town or city somehow having an exclusive agreement not allowing it.

Other cable companies dont simply because it makes no sense to do it.

You do realize if you had the coin YOU could put up your own cable company right?

Time Warner puts all of their franchise agreements with towns and cities online at least for my division.  Im not sure what it will show for others who try to access it: http://www.timewarnercable.com/en/about-us/legal/regulatory-notices/programming-legal-notices/franchise-agreements.html

For other cable companies simply go to your town office.

I chose franchise agreements from two of maines largest cities.  One of which goes back to 1985.  Both state within the first page that they are non-exclusive agreements.

I didnt confuse it i went to the town council and asked straight up when i moved there...there is a request to allow cox in but that has fallen on deaf ears at the town council even with petitions

cox has been trying to get into the town for years but cant get the town council to approve it... it may work your way in maine but out here in AZ it doesnt
