For all you like me that bought the G2 on Black Friday from Sprint for $50 call in a have them price match todays lows price of free. 866-789-8292

Another good way to tell if 4G is on, look at the network maps on sprint. And if theirs 2 data speeds on the tower its most likely on. Not 100% right but very close.

Picked up a G2. Phone I was looking to get in the first place. Nexus was nice but small battery and the price turned me off. Never spent 400+ on a new phone and when I did a guilty conscience took over. So for 55 bucks I was satisfied add the 36 buck upgrade fee. I'm still ok with it. Let's just hope I get used to the back buttons.

Fiber can handle really any wireless needs for backhaul. USCC spectrum will do a good job in holding the fort until 2.6ghz spectrum gets fully deployed.
Pardon my ignorance, but if and when Sprint implements the USCC spectrum for LTE here in Chicago, will that help with speeds in these really bogged down areas? Or does it simply boil down to what the fiber connection can handle.

Wow, one minute dudes filling up with gas next Minute he's blown to simthereens. Guys Cmon, no sparks while filling up.
He was blown up. The Spark triggered an explosion.

Sprints not at that tower. That is Nextel all the way at the bottom though. If they colocate great if not. It's probably not needed. The top portion is either Att or T-Mobile. My inclination says Att.
Here's an image of the tower. I don't think anything looks like it's been taken down. All the electronics on the ground are inside a concrete bunker, so I can't see what's gone on there. The top level is completely new to this tower I believe and is where they were working for the majority of the time.

Euteneuer also teased different pricing plans or features to come in the fourth quarter that would "demonstrate our creativeness and refocus our sales."

Kinda the whole purpose of Network Vision I believe.
If sprint does participate in the H block auction and the 600 MHz spectrum? Will they aggregate those spectrums to Spark?
Just curious

On my G my phone is always connected to 1x800 in the City all over the burbs too. That's how it's suppose to be.

I couldn't have said it better myself. Having a second phone with a different carrier leaves such a bad taste in my mouth with my sprint. It just seems it's always just a waiting game with them. Sometimes people care too much and if aren't seeing any improvement for a while they start badmouthing Sprint in hopes for change.
Also, Sprint led the charge on wimax. They needed clear as a separate entity to raise funds. But when everyone pulled back after their initial investment it was Sprint who had to keep pouring money in. Miscalculation on their part. Sprint Mgmt gets alot of blame and still do and IMO deserving so.
While I don't agree with the "trolls" posting just to bash Sprint, I certainly understand the frustration that might lead them to it.
If you're in an area that gets great LTE speeds, then you would see it as being baseless but there's countless Sprint customers that are hanging on in HOPES of what will happen.
I have been with Sprint for years and continue to hold hope that this will be a great network and the only one truly offering unlimited. As it is, I currently get 24Mbps LTE a block from my house yet need an Airvana at home.
At work, I get .20-.35 speeds which is frustrating, but I'm clinging onto my plan because of what the future holds.
The folks that are bashing Sprint probably came on with the OG Evo or the Iphone and expected similar speeds or coverage to whatever it is they left from. My cousin had 4 lines on Verizon with unlimited plans. When he had to pay out of pocket to upgrade for 4 iphones, he said screw it and came to Sprint. He gets great coverage in LA on his primary line, but the rest of his family have useless data in the Riverside area. He plans to keep his line and cancel all the others when their contracts are up..so I certainly understand the frustration that some may feel.

IMHO this article hits the nail on the head. I'd like your thoughts.

network.sprint.com only has data speed on the maps. it looks like anything with 2 or more data speeds is LTE on.
For anyone curious, the Sprint.com coverage maps have been updated as of 2am this morning

You try calling corporate and being it to their attention?

I know personally hundreds that left the past two years. All my family and business accounts left this year. 50+ devices gone except my personal and that's because I'm on Sero. Funny thing is now Vzw is kinda sucking now too.
-
Hopefully now they can stop Ho-ing off their Network. And build something people want not only on price but service.
-
I could almost guarantee you not after this past year of problems. They lost a lot of subs.
Although one thing to keep in mind is that Sprint is pretty popular in Chicagoland, last I heard the number two carrier right behind AT&T.
-
Very possible. If you can post a pic of the spool of fiber. Legacy panels are still attached. Look for them to be removed in the incoming days/weeks. Turning on of LTE can be days, weeks or even months.
If it has the LTE signal is bad and I'm only 2 blocks from this site. It's possible the tower/basestation has been upgraded but the backhaul hasn't been completed, like I said there is large spool of fiber hanging on a pole across the street from this site, but I have no clue if the fiber is for the tower or not.

Middle is sprint. Already been NV'd.
There isn't anyway to tell if its AT&T or Verzion? I'll try to get some better pics of the site when I get some extra time. I don't think Ericsson has upgraded this site yet I'm still sitting on eHRPD, I do get a rouge LTE signal but the signal is terrible (-115dB).

Happy to hear about that. Now you know with sprint. You'd be waiting for a while before anything gets done about it. Not being negative just the way they are. Even Chicago this past week that I've been here. Not dropping calls but 4G is Swiss cheese. 3G seems fine.
One part of me says their working on it and another says. It's like the carrot and the stick. Always showing but no one can ever catch it.
First time since 08 when I opened this Sero line I upgraded to a G2 hoping for 26 and 41 action. Sadly, haven't experienced any. Now, will I leave Sprint? No, I will hope they get better. But, when someone ask how Sprint is I will tell them like how when I respond to sprint for their surveys. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Every single member of my family left. Except me, but I do carry a Vzw device. In the Nextel hey day we had well over a few hundred devices attached to our DC number. 111*47051*1-2** It's just sad how Vzw has a problem they'd get it done fairly quickly but with Sprint just the opposite. It'll get better later.
Might not be in the correct thread. Just an emotional response Robert SPARKED out of me.
Hope the New Year rings in well for every one.
