  1. This kinda implies it does have it on b41.

"The news comes after Sprint launched two tests for gigabit-level speeds, recently reaching download speeds of 400 to 600 Mbps on its own network during a National Basketball Association Game.

The three main "ingredients" for these speeds will be included in the Galaxy S8: 4x4 MIMO, which uses multiple antennas to boost capacity; three-channel carrier aggregation, which allows Sprint to tap into multiple bands of spectrum for better speeds; and 256 QAM, which allows devices to transmit more information."

  2. This was a few weeks ago.  Give a little cheer to other Arizonians.   There is some movement on the network here.

  3. Massive Capex increase? Would you like to share a Little information about this?

May it pop up for you out of nowhere like It did for me. Considering the massive Capex increase lately it's highly likely you'll see something soon.

  4. Some "update" must have happen. Cause I'm being sent to ehrpd much more then I've ever been in the past year..

Had a connection flight through O'Hare today with a ~3hr layover - is service normally as bad as I experienced today? There were 1-2 times I would get LTE connections, but mostly I kept changing between eHRPD (with !@#$ or something along those lines underneath), 1x, and no signal. This was in the terminal with L gates (didn't have to move between flights much). I was really surprised since in all other airports we hit on our trip (BWI, LAX & PDX) we had excellent/consistent coverage.

  5. So last conference call Sprint CFO was talking about Capital spend.  And I gotta, say Listening to his answer of Churn Infuriated me. I'm paraphrasing here. But he was asked about Churn and Network Spend. And he said that if Churn Spikes up he will spend more on capital. I'm sorry but I viewed that answer ass backwards. So hes literally saying we'll see how it goes.  I really do hope Sprint has changed. I live in the Chicago Market but spend quite a bit in the Phoenix Market.  Chicago service is satisfactory.  Service in Phoenix is a different Matter.  I wouldn't exclusively use Sprint in Phoenix. Even with the $50 unlimited trial they have going on. I still cant recommend them to my friends in Phoenix, Too many glaring holes.  The tower that services my house in Ahwatukee still doesn't have 4G.    So, Sprint is very inconsistent and that is what is killing them.   And as of this moment they can talk about speed and all that fun stuff. I'd rather have a few megs of reliable service everywhere then islands of blazing speeds strategically located.

Because it was a funding, leadership and executive team issue. Those issues have been addressed. There's finally funding. There's leadership from Marcelo (and Son). The new Executive Network Team (Saw as CTO and Ottendorfer as COO, Technology) can finally execute on what they want to do. The right pieces are in place, and it took going through Network Vision to lay the foundation for what you're seeing in Chicago happen.... and for what's next.

Reread this Press Release and the Investor Update from the last earnings call. That's real progress.

  6. Umm, I have alot to interject but will keep it brief. Number 1, Clears top mgmt was mainly guys from nextel & sprint. 2. They where trying to build a business that would provide not only sprint for 4g but also other providers that wanted to get into the game. Cable companies and even other cellular companies. That didn't pan out. 3. Sprint didn't have capital to built it out themselves. If it wasn't for Hesse & company sprint would probably be bits and pieces of other providers right now. It was in that bad of a condition.. A spinoff was needed, only way to get outside money and build a network. Now, I do think we could have had better integration between both companies panties network build. But that's a different matter all on its own.

Where not out of the woodwork but at least where following the yellow brick road. Dorty wait up I'm coming for you. :) it's late and I'm being delirious...

  7. rumors has it 31xx MAh +    so hope thats true

The size is perfect!  It's just about the same size as my HTC One M8.  So I don't mind that at all.  My only gripe will likely be battery size.  I really hope LG throws in at least 3,000 MAh.  I usually throw a case on my phone now but I really do like the looks of it, too.

  8. This use to happen when I had nextel in Carbondale il. My door room was on the 12 floor and at the time nextel didn't cover Cdale. But in my room I was able to get service part of the day,Night time mostly. When it would rain I would get sporadic service around town. But, On a clear sunny day though I wouldnt get anything.

After I graduated in '03 I think they finally added coverage a year or so later

  9. Then you would be called a socialist.  And be relegated as such. Sadly the greater good is whats best for my pocket book.  That's this worlds mentality.  JFK's quote has been reversed.  Its not what you can do for your country its what your country can do for you.

In geographic area, Germany is about the size of one US state.  So, it is not all that apt of a comparison.  I built a wireless network across my property, but that does not make me the equal of Sprint, for example.  Size/degree is everything.

No other country has done what the US has done, can do, and should do across such an immense geographic area.  Capitalism needs to take a back seat to the greater good.  That is my point.
