Has anyone else noticed that the charge complete notification advises us to unplug the phone when the charge is complete?

Is that something that is important to do? Do you all do it?

I prefer to keep my phone at 100% while I have the opportunity to charge it.

Yeah mine says that...I'm not sure I don't unplug it

  2. I get 18-20 hours of life out of the GS3 with moderate usage. But I get about 24-26 hours out of the EVO LTE with similar usage. And about 14-16 hours out of the GNex.

For me, heavy usage can really take a toll out of the GS3 more than the EVO. GS3 battery life is more than acceptable. But the EVO just wins on battery. I'm wondering if the increase in RAM is the making the difference in battery life.

Could the EVO battery just be better than the S3's battery?

  3. Ya, but only when I'm home. 50% of the time today. I'll try 3G only tomorrow. Maybe it's that. Still.

  4. No way! I use the hell out of mine. Last forever. No mods or roms, rooted cleared most of the crap apps. FB, Weather, News updates every hour. I use it as my mouse, and today I watched Act of Valor on it. GPSed, NFC at a 7/11. Music to car... 20hrs... just plugged in.

What are you guys doing? Lol

  6. I did some speed test after work today in Overland Park, KS and my fastest download speed was 15.28Mbps fastest upload 12.79Mbps and best ping was 62ms.

I really hope we see a steady steam of towers going live. They have some pretty big holes to fill in this market but at least we are getting to use whats available now.

    Oh that's perfect

  7. I get good battery life out my GS3. I just get much better life out of my EVO LTE. Yet I still carry the GS3 as my daily device. I prefer it in every way, except battery life. The battery life is noticeably better than my GNex.

Well my S3 is my primary phone as well and I guess the extra 100 mah don't really mean much huh?

  10. I'm in Fort Worth and I haven't seen an LTE signal yet.

And Fort Worth and Dallas are rather close...hmm I actually live in Mckinney but I should get the signal

Can you check your LTE signal strength? You will need to go into Settings > About Device > Status to be certain you are getting the signal strength for LTE. If you try an app' date=' they will likely give you the 1x strength.

Still on 3G here in Dallas

So far, I am not impressed with battery life on my GS-III. It's standy battery life is slightly worse than the GNex, but it's active usage battery life is better than the GNex. The EVO LTE battery life is far, far better than the GS-III after 48 hours of usage.

I pretty much prefer everything on the GS-III over the EVO LTE except battery life and the camera button. I really like the camera button on the EVO LTE. Don't get me wrong, the battery life is more than usable. And it's better than any phone I've ever had. However, the EVO LTE is the best battery sipping device I've ever used to date.

Were you using 3G that entire time? When I use WI-FI I get easily 13 hours
