I'd assume the Nexus 5 will be sold direct from the Google Play Store at close-to-cost, like the other Nexus devices. The only way using a Sprint upgrade would make any sort of sense is if Sprint doesn't tack on $200+ to the SRP like T-Mobile did for the Nexus 4.

Ultimately even if CSIMs are theoretically usable on the non-c/s iPhone 5 (or any other device that Sprint doesn't want CSIMs to be used on) they could be blocked by Sprint using the device IMEI, or the Sprint provisioning setup for CDMA on those devices may just ignore the SIM entirely.

Unfortunately I think they've given up on using the blobs from the GPE HTC One since they break GPS support on the Evo, at least for the time being. There may be a way to get both GPS and the new blobs to work but it will probably require mixing and matching stuff from the old blobs and the new ones (which is getting into the realm of black magic).
