  1. I am confused also as I too have to send back two phones. One old smartphone for iPhone forever discount and my iPhone 6 that was on an old lease. I got an email on Friday saying a kit had been sent, not received yet. I just got another email this morning that another kit was sent. So I am not sure if they are sending me one kit for each phone, or if the second email I received is tied to the first kit. And if I get two kits, is each kit tied to a specific phone, and will that be indicated on the envelope. A lot of money is tied up in getting these returns right, and I must say I don't have a lot of confidence in this system at the moment. I really wish I could just walk into a corp store and hand them my phones, it would make me feel a lot better. One last thing, to those of you who do have the kits, did they just come in the regular mail or did UPS deliver them?

  3. Since you don't pay any tax upfront then yes you would pay tax on any payoff.
  4. Not true at all. All you have to return is the same model/capacity that is on the lease. On my lease the ESN is not even on the paperwork, just the model and capacity. Sounds like a rep trying to get a TEP commission.
  5. Did you get the official return label from Sprint or did they just give you an address to send it to?
  6. I have not even received the official return kit yet. I got an email on Sat stating it had been sent out. While I am glad that Sprint is reacting faster to the competition with rolling out new plans and promos, the problem is when you move so fast you can't do proper system testing and staff training. It does not make for the best customer experience.
  7. Yeah, reddit has mixed stories also with some saying they took their phones, others saying they would not. Not really happy with this situation. I am not that comfortable mailing back my old phone with that big charge sitting on my acct. I got my bill today and it was on there showing due on Oct 14. I really don't want to pay it and then just get a bill credit back. I am not happy with this situation and wish it would have been explained better when I ordered. I am actually considering just doing a return and unwinding it to get the charges removed and then doing a new transaction and just doing the giveback in store then on the spot. I wonder if that can be done.

  13. It always seems like on days like today the UPS schedule is kinda off. Usually we get late deliveries also but the last couple of times we had iPhones delivered they came around noon.
  14. The hold for pickup I understand for fraud purposes. The others I don't understand why they restrict those.
  15. If you are going to go to $1, why not just go Free at that point? You know that is where Johnny will go next. While as a consumer I like these deals, it does feel like a race to the bottom.
  16. It was the same thing last year. I would not worry about it. They will be here tomorrow. They just hold them as long as possible because they want to avoid early deliveries. Don't get hung up on the two day air service, they will be delivered tomorrow.

  19. Have you had any issues with your service? On another forum some with large balances like yours are reporting that their service is being suspended due to the size of the charge and are having a heck of a time getting it resolved. The more I think about it this is a screw up by Sprint. No reason to charge accounts like this until the 30 days window for returns is up. Edit: Sounds like the folks having issues are the ones with a spending limit on their acct. The charges exceed their limit and causes their service to be cut off.

  21. I tweeted at Marcelo and SprintCare. SprintCare responded and we exchanged some DM's. I then got a call from their team. I was polite, made no threats, just asked if I could get an early upgrade since they were allowing new customers to get annual upgrades. They said she would call me back after reviewing my acct, and after 15 mins I got a callback saying my upgrade had been moved up. I should note I have never asked for an early upgrade before, just thought I would try because I really want the CA on the new iPhone.
  22. Good Idea. I would take them to the store and get a receipt. No way I would trust shipping with that much on the line.

  24. I hope that is my issue also. Communication is still not one of Sprints strengths. I mean, if you need to charge the acct pending device return, fine. Just make sure you let the customer know instead of having them log into their acct and see a surprise like that.
