  1. Quick question.. I just noticed on my wife's g2 pull down menu there is no q slide, not even an edit for q slide... When I uncheck the things off of q slide I still have the edit option taking up space.. She doesn't even know what I'm talking about much less why it's not in hers.. I don't use it or like it taking up that extra space.. Any idea on how to remove it?? Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk

  7. Well I feel like when I post here I'm just talking to my self but just an fyi I somehow fixed the battery drain from the kernel.. I went through and disabled background data in several things then had to enable it back to make everything work because I essentially didn't know what that did.. But then after that google play wouldn't work.. So I uninstalled the updates from the google play app itself then clicked back on it and it updated.. Since then the kernel has not been running wild like hulkamania.. Lol.. Just wanted to give a heads up.. Also I'm logged out of google plus. Battery looking good so far! 9. If anyone else is seeing the Android kernel battery drain on gsam I found this recommendation on another site and wanted to pass it along.. I just made these modifications and will report back later to let you know if mine changed any... "Follow your recommendations on this thread I installed GSam and found Android Kernal was accounting for 60% battery drain. After a bit of digging around on forums Google is indicated to possibly to be the culprit. Therefore I went to google settings via the app and done the following; Connected apps > disconnected all apps bar mail. This seems to have no negative effects Location > Turn OFF location reporting. Google play service + low battery use (not sure what this is) Search and Now > Google now turned OFF, Phone search = no change, Search and Now > voice> OK Google hotword detection > Turn off (think the phone is always listening for a voice command. Since doing this last night I can report; 7hrs of phone sleep/standby and only 1-2% battery drain total 8hrs moderate use today and I'm on 71% remaining (massive increase before the changes. That includes out in the fields in low signal areas (I'm a farmer). Sorry for the essey, hope this helps someone" Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk
  10. Dammit boy.. Do you use your smart phone for anything smart? Lol.. I'm already at 61%for the day.. Also, I've noticed the sensor isn't that great after the update.. Playing hill climb the isa delay when pushing the gas and brake.. Might just be the game.. But I've noticed Firefox glitching a little bit and Swype messing up (was working good for made until the update)had to download touch pal.. Seems better than swiftkey ..also the kernel thing it's still the main culprit for battery consumption.. Any ideas on what to do about that? Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk
  11. I wanted to see how my standby time was so I unplugged it last night around 1 o'clock and I looked at it around 8 this morning and it had drained to 93% and the android kernel I posted earlier was responsible for 79% of the battery drain..7 % on standby seems kind of much..what do you think?? Also, do you unplug your phone as soon as it is fully charged or do you leave it plugged in until you actually need to unplug it.. Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk
