I pay less than $130 all in for seven lines with tmo, so def staying there.

Actually... i think the iPhone ruined ATT’s reputation. They were not ready to handle so many new subscribers with much higher data demands. The iPhone broke ATT in many metro areas. It took many years for them to build the capacity to handle their exclusive relationship with Apple.

Thanks, that’s the issue... my Tmo service has been extremely unreliable this past month. That said... it’s gotten slightly better and they are sending me a signal booster. They claim they are upgrading the towers near my house. I’ll try to wait it out and see what happens b/c as you said... I have a heck of a deal.

The biggest thing I”d have to lose is that I would be relinquishing my Tmo plan - I pay $118/month taxes included for five lines. Then I get kickback on at least one line and I have One Plus (double international speeds)/HD pass on three of the lines - all included in that price. I guess I switched at a pretty sweet time. So this decision is pretty hard. At this point, I’m leaning to stay with Tmo for the time being.. their service seems to be better than it had been in my area, so we’ll see.

So let me ask a big question... the elephant in the room so to speak. I’ve been considering hopping on the free year promo, and i’ve Been doing some research on reddit, here and on slickdeals and one thing that has jumped at me is that it seems like Sprint’s customer service has gone down the toilet and is now mostly out of the country. Is this the case or are people mostly exaggerating their Sprint CS horror stories?

Thats’ really interesting... i wonder if that box’s signal goes all the way to my house or not. Probably not.. i’m guessing  I’m about  1/4 of a mile from that intersection.

That’s awesome, what’s the range of those magic boxes? Is it just the couple of houses near you, or is it more of a larger radius?

I think ps vue is the best of the services... and I’ve had them all. That said, I’ve had dtvn for a year bc I locked in the intro deal they gave out for those who got the service when it launched. We pay $35/month for a TON of channels and had hbo for free for a year.

That’s really interesting. I live near Louisiana and Vivian/San Antonio and when I had Sprint back in Feb, I rarely got speeds higher than maybe 3 Mbs.

What kind of speeds are people experiencing on Global Roaming these days when traveling abroad and not buying a daily data package?

Anyone run any speed tests by Louisiana/San Antonio area lately? Or Wyoming/Academy here in ABQ? Thanks!

I know... and we have such a sweetheart deal now with TMO it may be hard for me to convince the others on my account to switch... we pay $103 all taxes and fees included for four lines unlimited everything. Then, on top of that we get kickbacks of about $8 (since we have hookup , it’s less than the $10) per line that does not use 2 gb. We usually have at least one or two lines that get kickback...

So I switched to tmo b/c they offered me a check of a deal earlier this year (way less than I was paying with Sprint). Lately their service has just sucked near my house here in ABQ. So i’m Looking at my options. The free year offer is pretty appealing, but I was looking at what my bill would be after that time. So am I reading this correctly that I’d be looking at $130 plus taxes /month for three lines and then $5 off per line for the employee discount bringing the grand total to $115 plus taxes and fees for unlimited?

Sucks I gave up on open world when I switched, wish they came out with some extra bennies for Latin America travel. 

It looks like they extended the free year promo through The end of September.

So is the improvement in sprint speeds in abq noticeable? I never really got any download speeds over 10-15 Mbps in abq when I had them (until February)

Question about the free year promo - does anyone know how long you have to have been a non sprint costumer to be eligible for the free year promo?

We left to T-Mobile as I posted here bc of the price. But call quality at T-Mobile is aweful compared to sprint - lots of spots with dropped or nearly dropped calls.. areas with signal almost going away and having to have people repeat themselves. Considering coming back to sprint after four or five months with magenta. If i do this, I'll miss having open world on my account. :-/

They are scraping all the current plans except for some new unlimited plan we should learn about tomorrow. A big wig sent out a teaser email internally touting the move as getting rid of gimicks and limitations.

I wonder what new plan they plan to unveil this week.

I haven't noticed them, but they might. I just check the above site leading up to any planned trips to see which countries have roaming and which carriers (you can manually select the carrier you're using depending on coverage and capacity at a given location. Pretty convenient).
