We are hoping they deploy b26 3x3 in the 1x800 channel 526 area.Quick question - LTE and 1x800 can only be deployed if 1x800 is on channel 476, not 526, right?

What do the x numbers in parentheses mean guys?

That is the Base ID in hexadecimal (hex), a common means of identifying a site by signal. The signal sector is part of that hex number.

Umm.... Is that a response to me or just in general?
It is an expansion on your comments for the benefit of those who don't know about the treasurer trove of info once they make a donation.

I guess I need to read that thread. I didn't think nTelos had deployed any equipment capable of that yet. Time to catch up!
New members also welcome to "join" in! Upgrade you membership to Premier and you can see which sites are active with any of the LTE bands and add additional info for other premier members. The "National" notes with SignalCheck Pro will even tell you the sites as your phone connects to them!

I'll post this here since it is relevant and really doesn't need to be in the PRL thread:
So I'm in Ntelos land, near Charlottesville, WV (confirmed via SID 4379), and I'm getting 3-5 bars of EVDO. Have to keep turning LTE off because everytime my iPhone 6 tries to connect, it drops to one bar of 1x and goes to no service. Disabling LTE immediately reestablishes 3G. So, at least for me, no LTE.

No Circuit switched fallback [CSFB] is likely the issue, which is an LTE setup issue. Contact nTelos so they have the option to fix it faster.

Our old wimax phones can be cantankerous. Remember to have Wi-Fi off and reboot and try again before saying it is dead.

This landed on my desktop:
FYI: nTelos Outbound LTE Roaming Service Adds Coverage in Virginia & West Virginia - All Dealers
Customers in Virginia and West Virginia will have access to outbound LTE roaming. An updated PLMN file will be pushed to LTE enabled android devices with USIM cards and LTE enabled Apple devices with CSIM cards each day (including weekends) starting 11/6.

I think that has been that way for a while. However going to the Clear coverage map now takes you to the online Sprint Store, which is smart.

WiMAX still alive in Columbus as expected (9.91Mbps down, 1.25 up), however Freedompop VOIP app not connecting. I will try again.
edit Freedompop now appears to be OK.

I would think the more extreme the ruling, the greater the chance that it will be overturned. Preferably at 11:58PM

Not a lawyer, but this strikes me as overreach for a Massachusetts state court. Now we have seen 6 out of the minimum of 14 pages of this document. I would like to see the rest.

I decided to take a quick look at how much frequency WiMAX was using. First let me note that my phone treated it like CDMA in terms of site reporting -- you must have a fresh connection from disconnected to get accurate frequencies from each sector. As previously reported, each sector at a site has different frequencies, each using 10Mhz. WiMAX does behave like WiFi in that frequencies conflicts between sites should be avoided. When I looked at a small number of WiMAX sites in one area, the number of frequencies rapidly grew before I saw any duplicates (generally facing away from each other).
Thus given this preliminary information noted above, combined with speeds often seen, it is possible Sprint could gain up to a ten-fold increase in throughput over the same frequencies in an area by switching from WiMAX to B41 LTE CA technologies.

As others have said, I believe Marcelo is keeping mum for good reasons. It doesn't mean they haven't started or making progress but as he knows Sprint used to be one to over-promise and under-deliver and he is trying to change that; better to stay mum and then surprise everyone then say x and y will be done by z and then have that fall through.
I think the quietness is primarily due to the hyper-competition in the wireless industry. Once they figure out where Sprint spends its limited resources, the Duo will try to counter.

Basically they are still waiting on Softbank for phone leasing and NGN financing arrangements. The phone leasing portion sounded basically done, but they need a few more weeks. More secretive on NGN.

"I’ve provided on slide nine a status update for our acquisition of nTelos. Since the deal was announced on August 10th, we have made good progress in moving towards closing. Our financing has been secured with the retail syndication being oversubscribed without going into the flex terms. We received early termination of the Hart-Scott-Rodino review and all state regulatory approvals have been received. Our FCC transfer application is expected to go on public notice soon.
We've extended offers to nTelos employees primarily in the retail stores and field operations. Our activities are proceeding well and we’ve had great cooperation with nTelos management team. Closing is still expected early 2016."

I heard that the deal is being held up by FCC. I was told to expect January possibly February. It hasn't even been reviewed by the FCC yet.

Approval process appears normal so far:

Maximum possible speed remains the same, but users are divided over the two carriers, thus your speed can double.

I can't remember if I hit "export" or "backup" logs before I reset my phone, but it saved a ".csv" file. I go to import log and find the file on my phone, and when I tap it, it does nothing.

A .csv file would indicate export. Backup would have given you a .db file.

I'm hoping someone can help me. Before factory resetting my phone, I saved a backup of my site logs. I'm trying to load them back into SCP and it doesn't seem to be letting me do so. Am I missing something? Also, will the log that I saved include my site notes? That's really what I'm hoping to get back on my phone.

What steps are you taking?
