  6. I have Everything Data with the unlimited minutes (for being with Sprint for 7 years apparently) and I hardly use any data the most I've used is this past year at WrestleMania using my GPS for directions around the bay area it got up to 8GB, I usually use 2-3GB on average. If I have to pay full price when my next upgrade is available, I might just bite the bullet and go with Project Fi with my Nexus 6
  7. I wonder if this iPhone will support all of the wireless bands if it will eventually support Project Fi. I love my Sprint service but it would be cool to fall back on another network for those rare times I don't have solid Sprint signal. That's the main reason why I'm going to be testing out Project Fi on my phone when I get the fi Sim, I am testing it out because I get to stay on Sprint which I know is solid but get the WiFi calling and the backup T-Mobile, it's a win win.

  10. I really hope that VoLTE is on its way. Also just got done talking to a Sprint rep on Twitter after asking about WiFi calling with the Nexus 6, since TMobile should be getting the update to activate it shortly, and they said they are looking into adding WiFi Calling to the Nexus, I think it's smart of the carriers to offput some of the load to WiFi, this would mean a more reliable mobile network for those who are out of WiFi coverage, and it would eliminate the need for an AirRave. Hopefully Sprint adds more phones to WiFi Calling. (if this does not belong on this thread please let me know)
  11. Hey guys it's been a while since I posted last but wanted to give an update. I recently (November 22nd) got a Nexus 6, and it's an amazing phone. I finally get 1X800 and Sprint Spark where I live, the signal quality still isn't the greatest, but I no longer need the AirRave tower to use my phone inside my house. Voice Calls are still a bit hit or miss but they don't sound like I'm in a tunnel, and the LTE from the B41 tower is about 5-7MB down and 1-3MB up. The thing I wanted to show is last Saturday I was at lunch with my wife and my signal was buried and I checked my Signal Check Pro and saw it was -80dbl and when I went for a speed test I got 51.58 down and 6.83 up. This blew my mind as I had never seen speeds that fast on my own device. The fastest I've seen is around 20-25MB down. I also had a Verizon nano sim and put it into the Nexus 6 and it worked beautifully and I did a speed test and got maybe 12MB down compared to the Sprint tower from the same area getting almost 17MB down. I have to say that the roll out of Vision in the Visalia area is going well, sure there are a ton of areas that still need improvement but once the whole city gets setup with the Spark it'll be an awesome experience.
  12. Hey Guys it's been a while since I posted here, but wanted to give an update on my experience with the LTE in Visalia. Here is a little background information I moved into my new place about a year ago and have horrible service where I live now, so I had to get an Airave to be able to make phone calls and receive them. Well now that 4G LTE is launched in Visalia I decided to unplug my Airave and see what type of connection I was getting. I will say this it is better than before since now I can get 1 bar instead of no bars and my calls no longer drop but they are very digital at best. I downloaded Signal check pro at the recommendation of another S4GRU member. When I'm off the Airave I bounce between the Acequia tower which I connect to at my job (Near Santa Fe St and Murry Ave near the old El Presadente restaurant) and have 3 bars at best, I get LTE at -111 dBm, still no 1X800 (I'm still on 1XRTT) so I know the Acequia tower is broadcasting an LTE signal. Well when I'm at my house (near the corner of Pinkham and Walnut) my phone bounces from the Acequia and the Farmersville tower, not sure why that would be since they are equal distance from each other wouldn't my phone connect to the LTE tower instead of the 3G tower? why would I get such terrible service only 2 miles down the road from work when I get decent signal at work but no signal at home, so for now I have to stick with my Airave, and I'm really not a fan of having another device hooked up to my network.
  13. I really want to become a sponsored member but I do not have the disposable income right now, I get a lot out of the site, and I even talked to a Sprint rep at best buy about it and how much amazing useful information it has. I'm a computer IT guy and I looooooooooove my job, I get paid to play with and on computers all day long so that's a plus LOL
  14. I was picking up one of my managers at the GMC dealership on Ben Maddox, and for a split second I got 4G LTE from the Acequia tower, I was not able to get a screen capture but i'll keep my phone on mobile data instead of WiFi. I hope that it's about to go live would be nice to have LTE at work and hopefully home
  15. I don't think that's correct.. Unless my phone is more FUBAR'ed than I realized http://pic.twitter.com/KZBknavigh
  16. I always wondered how many posts you had to make to "Level up" around here, good to know there is an official ranking.
  17. Just checked my Signal Check Pro and looks like the Acequia tower is no longer broadcasting in eHRPD and is now back to EV-DO, also no matter how many times I do a PRL update I'm still stuck on 1xRTT on my note 2, not a huge deal but just throwing it out there
  18. I just downloaded SignalCheck Pro and it shows on my Note 2 that I'm still on 1XRTT from the Acequia site, I thought the Note 2 can do 1X800, is there anything I have to do to get 1X800? I'm trying to learn as much about Mobile technology as I can and all the resources I've been exposed to on this forum has been very helpful, this should also help me diagnose which tower I'm on when I'm at home and what's going on with it. I also have -95 dBm on my eHRPD right now at work.

  20. Actually I live off walnut and Pinkham, and it's a deadzone, by rite aid I get like 2 bars at best and it just gets worse the closer to my house I go, walmart I get 3-4 bars and ok data inside. I don't care about LTE at this time since I have wifi but decent phone coverage would be sweet...
  21. I just hope that soon i'll be able to get decent data, and calls from my house in Visalia, and not have to rely on my AirRave, those 3 little beeps annoy me whenever I answer a call or make a call. Every coverage map I see shows I have good reception but in actuality I'm still getting maybe 1 bar at the best, and even on roaming (with cricket none the less) I have 2 bars and the quality is garbage and will drop my calls every time.
  22. That's weird I was in Tulare yesterday and I had LTE the whole time. Do you think it was something just effecting the Visalia towers?
