  1. Thank you for proving my point. With Sprint not investing into the network until 2011 due to insufficient profits, bad prior decisions, and a lackluster business model, consolidation is the most common variable (i.e., JP Morgan 1900's). There is plenty to go around, but the "go around" is with the big two. To obtain those customers, consolidation was logical. Since that didn't happen, your point of $50/60 is valid. Sprint's only option for 2015 will be a price differentiation.
  2. This is profit sharing between the three carriers in Japan. Sprint and Tmo profits combined would have been able to compete on a level playing field against the duo.
  3. If I remember IFRS correctly, the impairment is shown in OCI which in the long run is a plug for the balance sheet. Japan's markets are down in general over the last month. If sprint has another quarter with additions for customers, see the stock rebound.
  4. The more I read the 600 auction papers the more I believe it will not happen in 2016. I think pico cells will be the future to a solid network.
  5. I visited 6 towers today and all were broadcasting band 26 LTE. I will updating the ABQ Market premier thread with he exact towers and reports for other towers will be posted.
  6. Sorry as I need to clarify. The wireline was a large part of Verizon's business and bottom line. That is what is puzzling about this sale. Yes frontier is bad.
  7. Correct which is why I am frustrated at our government. However, proper oversight (limited at best) would have implemented a spectrum screen about the low band spectrum, but this is all another discussion Edit. My public accountant self is coming out.
  8. Lets not forget that this is a public company and investors have expectations. With a capital intensive company, dividends are expected as FMV increase is usually minimal b/c P/E ratio is really high.
  9. China Mobile was making all of the new phones second half of 2014 Band 41 compliant.
  10. You are referring to two of the top 4 carriers. This is a dumb retort. I appoligize for being forward. If the profits were more balanced between the four, I could see four providers surviving.
  11. Yes I would agree about starving them but not when they would pony up 15 to 20 billion for it (or leasing options). Think about the reciprocity that could occur.
  12. Did my S4GRU life get a boost as you like my article? I am fulfilled. Personally, if 2.5 CA with 1.9 is realized, selling some might be beneficial to pay for all this.
  13. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2015-02-05/sprint-chairman-son-may-sell-airwaves-to-help-fund-turnaround?cmpid=yhoo This article says that they have valued the 2.5ghz between 80 to 100 billion
  14. In FASB accounting (including IASB), Goodwill needs to have an impairment analysis every quarter. At all of my clients, it is a sophisticated caluclation that us, external auditors, agree with for the issuance of the Q and perform detailed procedures over the analysis for K.
  15. Good to know I will have LTE this weekend at my best friends restaurant. Pajarito Brew!
  16. TMO is also very limited in Santa Fe and drop to 2G between ABQ and Santa Fe. IF Sprint can bang out the whole drive between LA to ABQ (which lets face it is most of the traffic during the week), would be great.
  17. How Long, O Lord? (Day 22) #BiOY Just the encouragement I need this very tough day. http://t.co/ll1pVcb1sb

  18. Time after time, I realize I fail but He never fails and His grace washes over me and strengthens me. To God be the glory

  19. Connected To 800 1x in yatahey north of Gallup. I was also roaming in window Rock all day today. Upload pics when I get back to the hotel. This is star first I have ever noticed.
  20. Good LTE in Albuquerque. Sprint is now matching or exceeding the coverage. However, Santa Fe very limited last time I test drove ( June 2014)
