  1. They wouldn't know, Amazon sells such a mass amount of smartphones, no way to tell. Best way is to tell them upfront... If the model isn't a 720T..you will be returning. Be warned... If you return the phone... Amazon will gladly accept the return... but..in my experience.. .they took their time sending the upgrade status back to my carrier. Consequently.. I couldn't get an upgrade for two months, because the carrier didn't receive information from Amazon that I returned my phone. That's just my experience.. Amazon has great prices, but know once you lock into the contract.. you cant terminate the contract for 180 days, without being charged an ETF from carrier and $250+ or more from Amazon. Good luck. 2. It's a Spark phone and once in a while, when the phone downs to 3G, it doesn't always transition back to LTE. That's the TriBand, not the phone. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
  3. I dont have any issues. It's been quite stable and bug free for me. Ths WiFi Calling update is awesome! Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
  4. Did you apply the WiFi Calling update for the 720T? If so, how do you like it? Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
  5. I have removed GV/Sprint Integration last month to make sure my new 720T S4 was working correct. Left it off for a month...reactivated it at the start of May. I had no issues reactivating. It mentions your voicemail on the Sprint side will be erased when activating the GV Integration. By updating my profile after removing the GV Integration I was able to use the Sprint VM without issues. Seems like someone did you a disservice, because I know many people that use GV Intergration and turn it on and off without issues. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk

    Wifi calling

The feature is not broken..I have the same version of S4, the 720T. I use WiFi calling all the time. It works flawlessly. I thought you got that issued fixed. How can I help? Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
  8. This is controlled by user settings in Google Voice. Personally I choose to set my inbound calls to show my GV (Sprint number) number on my forwarded phones. This is so I can determine that the call is being made to my Sprint number. To me, this is a great option for me, not a probably. At anytime, I can switch to show the caller-Id instead of my GV number, but again..I choose not to. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  9. I hear you, it's a pain to get all your apps back on and setup. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
  10. that's good. That's what it should be. I would try doing everything you already did, one more time. Use this sequence: 1. Reset S4 to Factory Settings. 2. Once the phone boots after the wipe..bypass all that Google crap. Key is to get the device to activate without the device logging into your Google account and starting to download apps. 3. Once you are on home screen make a test call, test text, and finally go to Chrome and make sure you can browse the net. 4. Then go to dialer and type: ##72786# 5. Phone should reboot. Now..connect to your WiFi. If WiFi Calling is correctly installed and provisioned, you should get a little icon in the upper left indicating WiFi is available. If not..go to settings and select WiFi Calling to see if it needs to complete the setup. Let me know. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
  11. Yes, that's January of 2014. That's the same date as mine, so the there shouldn't be any batch production issues. On the About Device screen. What is the baseband, build version, and the secure boot status say? Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
  12. Not sure if it's the update, I am living proof that the update works fine on Galaxy S4 720T. Look on the white label underneath the battery. To the right of the DEC number, there is 4 numbers, that is the manufactured date. What is it? Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
  13. Sounds like your phone might be defective. Where did you buy this phone? Sprint Zone always works on Sprint smartphones. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
  14. That means your account is provisioned. Its probably the router. Try a a few free wifi that don't require a browser login. Some routers need SIP enabled on port 5060 for wifi calling Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
  15. Log into your account. Does SPRINT show WiFi calling as a feature on your line? Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
  16. Your device isn't rooted and never has been, right? Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
  17. Type this from the dialer, before wiping: ##72786# It resets your network settings and profile. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
  18. The provisioning should have happened right after the WiFi calling update was applied. Personally, I would wipe the S4 clean...have the network re-provision your device. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
  19. I have a 720T S4..installed the WiFi Calling the morning it was released. It works perfect. You mentioned the WiFi calling failed to initialize. Most of the time, I have no problems, but every once in a while, the S4 won't register a WiFi. From what I gather, it depends on the WiFi router. I haven't figured out a pattern yet. Once I do, I will post. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk

    Wifi calling

Yes, that goes without saying. But I tested that as well. It holds the call as long as it can, then when no WiFi is available it disconnects the call. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk

    Wifi calling

Saw your posts. Had to offer my experience. I posted a few days ago in the Sprint Users forum. I have a Galaxy S4 (720T), received the WiFi calling update early in the morning a yesterday. I tested extensively the last two days. It works awesome! Calls I made were clear. Other party says they hear me fine. You setup your S4 to any WiFi you connect to individually. So the S4 won't automatically use WiFi calling when you are connected to a WiFi..the first time..you have to deliberately enable WiFi calling on the WiFi of you wish to use for WiFi calling. Once that is done..the next time you attach to that WiFi..within 15secs..the S4 says WiFi Calling is now enabled on "What Ever WiFi.." Your voice signal drops off and now you are fully ready to use your S4 via WiFi. Also..the update description said that once you connect to a WiFi with WiFi calling..the text messages go through the WiFi as well. I see the activity over WiFi calling when I type "usage." It tells me how many minutes I used for WiFi calling and how many texts i sent via WiFi calling. Another benefit..I no longer need my Airave.. I will keep it for my kids..but the Airave doesn't come into play. Once I roll into my garage and my S4 connects to my home WiFi I am good. The Airave is not used at that point. Its awesome..I used to have to enable CDMA mode only when I got home so my Airave will be stable..now I just leave LTE mode on all the time. Its really a freaking awesome update!! All the dead spots at my job are no longer a factor..WiFi is all over the two building where I work. I setup my S4 to use WiFi calling on all the WiFi.. Now I have no dead spots at my job.. Again..a really cool Sprint update. Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
  22. I am not clear, are you suggesting to force CDMA only instead of LTE/CDMA mode, if the signal keeps pingpong-ing from LTE to eHD/CDMA? Sent from Tapatalk
  23. "The GS3 has one of the strongest radios out there, next to the Note 2 and GS4." Really? why are my kids iPhones getting better signal than my S3? Seems like their antenna gets signal in places where my S3 doesn't even get any signal, 3G or LTE. Sent from Tapatalk
  24. On my Galaxy S3, I get 1-2bars of 3G at best in my neighborhood and on a good day 1 bar of 4G. However, two kids of mine have iPhone 5s and get 1bar of LTE in my neighborhood and sometimes roam to 3G and get 3-4 bars. My youngest has an iPhone 4 and he gets 3-4 bars of 3G and for whatever reason, when he roams, he will get 4 bars. I do live in the outskirts, so I don't expect 3+ bars of LTE in my neighborhood on my Galaxy S3. What i hope is 1-2bars of LTE with a stable signal that i can count on. Quite frankly, I really think the Galaxy S3's antenna isn't the greatest. But what I hope is, when I drive 1.5miles outside my neighborhood I get the 3+ bars of LTE. Sent from Tapatalk
  25. I have a Galaxy S3 and I live in the outskirts of SE Kansas City close to Lee's Summit Mo. In Lee's Summit, the LTE is rock solid and speeds go from 12mbps-35mbps. Most areas of Kansas City that I travel are rock solid LTE as well. However, since I live in the outskirts and on the fringe of LTE..my 4G signal is a bit unstable as of late. Rarely had 4G before 3-4 months ago. It was just 3G mostly and once in a blue moon I will get 4G signal. Since my 4G was on more frequently but unstable, I started to wonder if my Galaxy S3 was having antenna issues. Called Sprint a few times and visited the repair center a few times. They opened a 3rd teir support call and ran all types of diagnostics. They showed me the analysis report..two towers 2,4 miles from my house are presently being worked on and being upgraded. Hence the un-stabability. The towers will greatly impact the neighborhood that I live and the route that I travel to get to home. The Sprint tech told me if things aren't better and more stable in 3 weeks, to call him back directly. Anxiously waiting to see if I am going to get that 4-5bar rock solid LTE signal as Lee's Summit and most of Kansas City. Sent from Tapatalk
