    It's so boring here in FL, I'm looking forward to this hurricane season. The last few were meh..

     

    Also to add, many forecasters are saying that it should be a quiet season for hurricanes but I think it will be the opposite. This year the weather has been crazy with the insanely warm winter, early spring, so many tornados, and not to mention that it seems like the of weather we are getting for the month of may is more of a late june early july type of weather. I think this season will be worse than average for sure.

    I lived in Florida during my High School years. I don't miss that anxiety. I like it here in New Mexico. Just outside of the tornado and earthquake belt, and way outside the hurricane belt.

    Well at least in Florida you had the option to evacuate inland by driving where you needed to go if need be, where as in the islands you had no where to evacuate to.

    Most people in hurricane areas never take this kind of advice seriously until the hurricane is 24 to 36 hours away which is just sad. I guess it also depends on experience as well. I was born and raised in the virgin islands so I know what its like to face multiple hurricane threats every single year. Anyway, to all of our members that are on the coastal areas and caribbean, it always pays to be ready. Remember, its always better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

    For all that do not have the phone like me or who pre-ordered from BB last weekend like me;

    Just be the first in line at your local BB Saturday morning & there will be no wondering. Unless I get an email from BB today or tomorrow that I can go pick up my phone. I will be #1 in line for the doors at BB on Saturday morning. I will get home and enjoy setting up all my stuff.

     

    I do have a technical question; is there any way to not lose data from games & other apps when switching phones. Each time I have had to switch phones (got a Photon & it has been a return for a new one syndrome), any progress in games & apps have been lost even though I stuck the same sd card into the new phone...thanks.

    **EDIT** The announcer on the NBA broadcast on TNT just called the phone the HTC 4G "Lite"! I'm sure the SPprint PR folks are tearing their hair out!

     

    Yeah, the weird thing is that I was in radioshack a couple days ago and everyone there was calling evo "lite" as well.

    I haven't used it yet but what would annoy me was when I got a call while using navigation and the NAV voice would play in my earpiece while the person calling me was talking. I wonder if that's fixed. I'll have to try it.

    Does the EVOLTE have native screenshot capability? I've been rooted for so long I don't know what people who aren't rooted are doing for screenshots these days.

     

    For the evo 3d you would hold the power button and pressing the home button. I don't have my evolte yet so I don't know how it will work on that but you can try it and see.

    The screenshot says that a shipping label was created on May 22. Shipped via 2nd Day Air would put arrival on May 24. That's Thursday by my calendar.

     

    The phrasing that I think keeps getting missed here is "We will do our best". I don't see that as a promise or commitment to a certain day. I see it as they will do their best, BUT, there is a chance that they will miss that date.

     

    I would add to what you said but I really don't see the point.

    Next someone is going to accuse Apple of getting babies to work on the iPhone assembly lines. If the babies don't meet their daily quota, they'll grind them up and cook their baby fat to render it into plastic used to make hard protective cases.

    Our friend AJ sent this to me today as I had been asking him about SVDO as some had mentioned it would only work after NV was deployed and over 1x advanced...

    no, you need to re-read sir, HE GOT A 1.21 GIGAWATT UPLOAD SPEED DURING WIMAX DEPLOYMENT... dont argue with him, his uncle probably works for sprint.
