http://www.s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/6956-Sprint-announces-Home-Wifi-Router-[Asus-AC66u]#entry417980What's the best way to order this because the csr I talked to had no clue about this router.

It means it's great to use with wifi calling with the added bonus of it being a great router. Also all you need is a phone with wifi calling to get the router. They don't ask about the coverage at your house.

I'm not using at as my main router at all. It will be a media bridge connect to my tmo Asus AC68U. It a more valuable purpose doing that.

so let me get this straight, i can call up this number and because i have a wifi calling enabled phone on my account they will send me this Asus AC1750 router for free??? and the only difference being that it has a sprint specific firmware on it that has QOS to prioritize wifi calls? any other catches or anything i'm missing?
No catch. Straight forward.

The rep I'm speaking with is trying to get me a free AIRAVE instead of the WiFi Connect. She must not of had the same training lilotimz's rep had.
im talking to a guy who knows about the wifi router he's checking to see if im eligible right now.

Google isn't in it to start a price war, they're trying to show the carriers a better way of operating a network and using resources efficiently. This is a experiment more than anything so If you're a data hungry customer you may want to stay away.

I was rooted and running Franco. I flashed boot, recovery and system in the bootloader then booted into stock recovery and adb Sideload the Ota zip.How to update a rooted nexus 6 with custom recovery from the OTA zip?

I just recently went into a Sprint store to purchase the nexus 6 on easy pay when I was told I would have to pay a down payment on the device because of the asl. The customer service rep said he could get that removed with no problem though and with just a phone call and he did, just like that. I was able to get the nexus 6 for 0 down and he told me I could have been got the asl removed. I guess no other rep cared to do so and I really just never looked into it.

Sprint Home Wifi Router [Wi-Fi Connect][Asus AC66u]
in General Topics
Posted
For the guys who want to run this router in ap mode the option is hidden in the web code. If you're good with your browsers developer console you can change it from hidden to active by delete the hidden/disabled tag in the code. I did it with chrome with the developer tools. Also media bridge and repeater mode seem to be present but don't work correctly when when enabled. It goes to a unknown page like it's not even in the firmware. I'm going to try more to open the router up but I would like to eventually flash merlin on it so everything is enabled and more. This is essentially a ac66 with hard core tools locked down.
