  1. I'd rather wait around for them to have it done right the first time than have them rush to deploy and have a sketchy network that is always in need of repair. And the price for service isn't bad, either.
  2. Awesome! That's by where I live, too. I'll drive by there on my way home and try to run a Sensorly mapping.
  3. Man, there was zero reception at the Starbucks on Olsen Dr. near Petsmart in Rancho this morning. Usually the reception isn't less than four bars for me south of Hwy 50. Maybe it's a sign of signal checks or the towers being worked on... On another note, I was reading in another forum that the HTC Evo 4G LTE typically has a difficult time picking up LTE signals, unlike the S4 or HTC One. Anyone heard this, too? I'm upgrading to the One at the end of the month, so I have no basis for comparison, but I found that tidbit of info interesting. Maybe my Sensorly readings and LTE non-signals are because of my phone.
  4. I'm pretty sure you're right. When I visit my friend in Fairfield, it's ridiculous, but I lose it heading back to Sacramento. I think Dixon is the outskirts of the signal. But, once they get Davis online, that should improve the UL/DL speeds, too.
  5. My service in Rancho has been sketchy for a day or two. This morning, I kept getting connections errors when I wasn't on wi-fi at home and reception has been horrible where it is normally clear as a bell. The tower on Kilgore is MASSIVE! That is one of their main office buildings, so I'm sure it is more than just cell panels on there. It's easily at least seven or eight stories tall. I will drive by after work on my way home again today the same three towers I posted yesterday. It will be at about 5:45 or 6:00 tonight, so hopefully if there is work being done, they're still doing it when I go by. Next week, there will be a day that I am in Rancho during the work day hours, so I'll drive by again to see if there are any lifts or NV additions.
  6. I was talking to a guy working at Best Buy in Woodland the other day and he was saying that Sprint is scrambling to retain customers in Woodland because the service out there is so awful. This is welcome news for that area.
  7. Okay, recon done for the day. I got photos from the following locations: 3707 Schriever 3443 Bradshaw Sprint Center on Kilgore Here is where I have downloaded the photos. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/files/file/31-sprint-towers-in-ucv/ There was no visible work on any of the towers. The monolith at the Sprint center was crazy huge. But I took a few angle views of it to get the panel views. Hope they come out ok. Thoughts?

Sprint Towers - photos taken July 16, 2013. Locations on each photo.
  9. I almost left Sprint when I bought my house. I had to get an Airrave just to have signal in my own house, it was awful. I'm really hoping this rollout improves that in the area.
  10. Indeed I do. My car has a USB port up front that I can use my standard charger cord. That would be a very dead phone if I didn't....
  11. You know, since I'm driving and going straight down through the valley, I'll do a Sensorly run while I'm driving around and see if I can pick up some data for the LCV map. I know they're hurting for some signal improvements, too. I'll have to go over to that page and see what towers are in my hometown, since I'll be there, too....
  12. Aaaand finally got around to sponsoring. Been lazy. However, I did forget to put my screen name into the comments. Doh! Edit: Finally getting to look at the map. Wow, you guys have done a TON of work. Well done! I drive by the tower on Schriever in Rancho taking my son to his swim practice. I will see what I can find when I go by there again today. Still no work at White Rock Park. I can also check and take a photo of the potential site on Bradshaw Road...there's a restaurant I frequent very near there and drive by that general location all the time. I'll upload photos as I can. And is the location at Gold Camp Drive the communications center?
  13. Yeah, I caught that on the photos. I'm still keeping an eye on the few towers in Rancho, but not seeing any work done on them. I'm sure it will be coming up soon, but that doesn't help the anticipation making it a drag. I'll be in San Diego this weekend, so I'll check out their newly broadcast signal while I'm there. Then come back home and cry.
  14. I'm still waiting to see blips near my house. Sensorly has one bar signals all around my development, but I haven't seen anything. Dang you, Rancho, for not having better permit issuance review access! I'd love to see for sure that permits were issued.
  15. The only places in Rancho I've seen solid connection to LTE is at Rosemont HS and on Jackson Hwy south of Mather. Someone earlier mentioned picking up a signal near Zinfandel and Hwy 50 south of the freeway, but I don't think the tower in that area has the right equipment yet. I am hopeful that this happens soon. My husband has been kind enough to let me use his upgrade so I can replace my phone since I cracked the screen on it and I don't want to pay $150 to get a refurbished HTC 4g LTE.
  16. I drove by the corporate office yesterday on my way home from work and couldn't see anything due to all of the trees around the building. Not that I'm complaining at all, I'm a fan of the greenery. I didn't go into the parking lot at all. But that tower I think is the tower that services my house also, so I'd love for that one to start having work done. I imagine it will start in the next few months, though, with all of the work being done in the market. It was my understanding that AT&T had the top of the tower at the footbridge, but I do know that Sprint is the lower three panels for sure.
  17. I go have dinner in there every now and then and if I want to look something up or even check in on Foursquare, it's a lost cause. Great restaurant, horrible Sprint service. They should throw a tower on top of the tower of the park that is right behind Lowe's...
  18. Oh my god, the signal in Chili's is non-existent! When I was over at the tower by the footbridge near the Zinfandel exit yesterday, the Sprint panels looked the same size as the AT&T panels. Are all the 4g LTE panels the same size regardless if carrier? I have a screenshot of my LTE signal via Sensorly, but I can't link it from Dropbox without the site getting grumpy at me.
