  1. Unfortunately I got called in to work this evening so I checked 170 again. This time I got LTE from I-64 all the way to the Rock Road. As soon as I turned onto the Rock I lost LTE. Coming back I had no LTE anywhere along I-64 going East to downtown. Not sure why.
  2. I will try this when I go back through Friday. I've never heard about toggling the airplane mode before. I have updated the PRL and even taken the battery out several times. One of the gals I work with has a Galaxy 4 as well and I am going to use her phone as well tomorrow. She, like me, has the same problems it seems, we'll see......
  3. Very interesting. I just check the full length around Noon and picked it up only between Page and Olive on 170. Then briefly at Ladue Road
  4. I can attest that those reading mean nothing. I get no LTE anywhere along I-170 from I-64 all the way to I-270.
  5. How accurate are the Sensorly maps? I ask because I just spent 45 minutes tracking what it says is available LTE and most of the time it was not.
  6. Sorry for the rant, I am just frustrated beyond belief. I'll take some of the blame for not looking further into the whole 4G vs LTE thing. I still don't understand how my 3G service is so much slower than it was before the new phone. My phone is pretty much useless to me, yet I am paying for service. If that is a rant, so be it.
  7. That too is enabled. I just drove from 170 to 70 on the Rock Road, nothing. I then took 270 to South County. Finally at 270 and Gravois I started getting 4G/LTE. If the roll out is this slow, I would think it may be a few years before we get full coverage. This is absolutly atrocious. Sprint is screwing us over. We are paying for 4G speeds with these phones but the are delivering MUCH less. Time to say fugg it and move on to Verizon. I would glady pay a bigger bill but at least i am getting what I am paying for!!
  8. Oops.. yes, I was headed WEST! I am not sure what or where eHRPD is located but LTE/CDMA is enabled
  9. I used the Sensorly "Map Trip" yesterday. I drove I-64 East from downtown to I-170 North to I-70 and according to this app I received ZERO 4G-LTE hits. Sad.
  10. I love being schooled. Have you seriously ever read one of those contract from cover to cover? Myself, I don't have the 2 hours it would take much less comprehend what it actually says. A good customer service rep should have explained the situation to me. But they didn't care about the customer as much as they did the sale. Typical of today's companies and their total lack of respect for their customers. Bottom line is money for them. I am going to take your word on that. I am just pissy because I was under the impression LTE was lit up throughout the metro area. They can turn it on for 170 and the Rock Road any day now.
  11. True. But once again, when I called to complain, they didn't mention this as an option. Had I known I would have done so.
  12. Amen! This is plain silly. I had lightning WiMax speeds with my old Galaxy 2 and upgraded to the Galaxy 4 and connect at 3G with speeds less than an old 14.4 dial up modem. I am so pissed off with Sprint! They should have enabled these phones to pull in both WiMax and LTE until the switchover was complete. All they have done is make a lot of customers angry by selling them phones that are useless. Not one time during the new phone purchase did they tell me that I would lose my current 4G speed. All they cared about was selling me a new phone and a new 2 year contract.
  13. At some point is this whole map suppose to be purple? http://www.sensorly.com/map/4G/US/USA/Sprint/lte_310sprint#q=st louis
  14. I am at the Rock Road and 170 and I can tell you there is no LTE here, in fact the 3G is slower than 14.4 dial up!
  15. Is that the plan, to have it widespread within a few months?
  16. Thanks. I fully understand there are no hard dates. I blame myself for this by not doing my homework. I have no choice I guess but to switch over to Verizon now.
  17. Thanks. I've done that check earlier. I was looking for info to see if anyone has seen actual work being done in that area.
  18. A little background. I just traded in my Galaxy 2 for the Galaxy 4. I tether my phone and with the Galaxy 2 and I enjoyed GREAT 4G speeds. Sadly I did not do my homework, I didn't realize there was a difference in 4G and LTE. I just thought my new Galaxy 4 would pick the best 4G and run with it. Now I am stuck with a phone that is pretty much useless to me because it is slower than slow... Think 14.4 dial up slow! I do understand they are rolling out LTE in the STL market. so I have a specific question that probably doesn't have an answer. I work in the St. Charles Rock Road and I-170 area. Is there work going on in this area that would give me hope that LTE will be here soon? If not, I am stuck with a great phone that is useless.
