    That tower is twice the size of the one in Vinita Park.

    So yes it is broadcasting LTE but the signal strength is terrible unless you are really close to the tower.

    Vinita Park. I also did some Sensory mapping in the area. Once you get 1/3 of a mile away or so the signal strength goes to crap pretty quickly.

    I just got another deliver fairly close to there so I'll swing by if I can and see if I can get some numbers.

    I wonder if it's not shut down now for some reason. I was close twice today and LTE was terrible (0.89 down/0.33 up). I was probably less than 1/4 mile away on Midland Blvd near the Library.

    I don't think the Vinita Park tower is lite up. I drove near it and was getting nothing.

    I get nothing on LTE but my wife was able to get decent enough WiMax. The guy next to me had Verizon and he couldn't get any service either. Not sure about any other carrier. I was told it had more to do with the dome design than the actual cell providers.

    That Vinita Park tower never did kick in unless it did so today.

    Looks like I am getting a weekly deliver down there. I'll see what i can do1

    Made another delivery to a rural area near Waterloo and the LTE speeds were ridiculous. 35+ up 12+ down on 6 different checks over a 3 hour period. I was surfing the net like a BOSS!

    A couple of "speed" tests from the QT at 170/Rock Road I hope the Vinita Park site fills this gap!

    I am guessing the Vinita Park site is not broadcasting as speeds in the 170/Rock Road area are as slow as ever.

    I'll be right downtown. That don't stretch into the dome. I see a few towers within 4 or 5 blocks of the dome, but they are not LTE yet and was wondering if they are on a schedule to fire up soon.

    Thanks guys! Heh.. I'll be working that area off and on, but not consistently like I did. I'll probably be split between that area and downtown for the foreseeable future. My attentions of course are now directed downtown for LTE coverage - Not just for work, but for coverage in the ED dome for Rams football. Any skuttlebutt of when they might light some of those near the dome up?

    I was in Springfield, Il a few weeks ago and was shocked at how fast and consistent 3G was.

    I am a believer, but right now it just a painful process. The 170/Page/Rock Road area is just frustrating. I was just about to cancel my SG2 line because the LTE was "up" 80% of the time. Now it is like then turn it on and off just to mess with my mind. Right now I am sitting at the QT at the junction of 170 and the Rock Road and have been for 25 minutes. I get no LTE or super slow LTE while WiMax flies!

    I've been back working in the 170 and Rock Road area for the past two days and LTE is absolutely terrible along the Rock Road. I've done over 30 speeds checks and none have been over 2 Mbps down and 1 Mbps up. Did they throttle something down? I am getting 8 Mbps down on WiMax consistently!.

    I had a several delivers out near Waterloo, Il and was shocked to look down and have LTE out in the boonies. I guess the cows, pigs, chickens and corn need fast speed as well
