  1. I just want Sprint to execute all this tech within their footprint. Innovation is cool and is needed for Sprint to have a future. Just execute the d**n play.
  2. Mine has not been working properly for a while. Dating back to iOS 10 and iPhone 7 Plus.
  3. Calling Plus available yet? In iOS 11.2
  4. Net Neutrality isn’t repealed yet and companies already doing a 180.
  5. Anyone here ever have issues with their Sprint WiFi Calling? I have a phone when I go into settings enable WiFi calling everything goes through as if it worked. Then the “Sprint WiFi” never shows at the top. I looked at add ons on my Sprint account. “WiFi calling” and “WiFi calling for iCloud devices” is enabled.
  6. So Chairman Pai wants to end Net Neutrality because of the things posted on Social Media sites? https://www.recode.net/2017/11/29/16715650/fcc-chairman-pai-twitter-threats-harassment-social-media
  7. ISPs are profitable and will be profitable in the future. Internet prices will double to cover the loss of video subscribers. I also read an article a while back that Comcast isn’t losing much money on internet only subscribers vs internet and tv subscribers. The reason is most people that has internet and tv combined. Usually buy a lower speed internet package. Internet only users buy a higher speed package. That internet only packages has a higher profit margin than tv services anyways.
  8. ISPs need to keep investing and adding capacity. YouTube and Netflix also has to have a network to send out all the video feeds to the customers of the ISPs. So should ISPs pay Netflix and YouTube for all the ISPs users accessing and using Netflix and YouTube’s data services?
  9. You must be a shareholder of some of these ISPs. There’s not much competition at all. My city has basically 2 ISPs. Comcast in the city and outlying areas. Also patches of AT&T Fiber and DSL scattered throughout bits and pieces of Comcast coverage area.
  10. ISPs are always looking for new innovative ways to increase revenue and profits. Just because it hasn’t happened yet doesn’t mean that it’s not. Ending Net Neutrality is going to open the flood gates for these ISPs to do whatever they want. ISPs knows there is little to No competition in most markets in America. The year is now 2017 not 2015 or prior. Anything is possible.
  11. That makes sense. I don’t like the idea of ISPs being gatekeepers. We all know that the cable cos are losing video customers to cord cutting. They may want to block the competitors offerings and promote their own.
  12. If ISPs charge Netflix to plug into their network. Who do you think is going to pay for the additional costs that Netflix is charged? The US consumers will.
  13. I would hate for our internet plan to looks like Cable packages.
  14. Issue is that ISP’s will start charging the U.S. consumers for services (ie. YouTube, Netflix, etc). ISPs throttling competitors services choosing winners and losers. Stun the growth of innovation. Most Americans only have 1 maybe 2 options for broadband access in the US. Also I think that network expansion and investment would decrease. Even if the things you say as far as ISPs and content providers are battling for profits. The extra cost are always trickled down to the consumers the corporate corporations aren’t going to take a hit on profit.
  15. What are you guys/gals thoughts on Ajit Pai and the republican FCC repealing NN?
  16. I️ traded in an iPhone 6s Plus. I️ picked up the iPhone 8+ for $14 and some change per month on Sprint Flex lease. The process was easy. The phone I️ turned in was in great condition. Also, I️ went into the Sprint store I️ didn’t order online.
  17. I know about the handoff from WiFi to LTE. I was on a WiFi call that carried over to LTE because I went out of WiFi range. The called continued on LTE. The called then dropped after about 5 minutes. The person called right back within seconds. I was able to answer a voLTE call. I wasn’t able to duplicate it. That was the one and only time that has happened.
  18. I️ wonder how much of this is cost saving or is it a ploy to attack T-Mobile and Sprint. Either way I would have never saw this happening.
  19. Link from another site. https://www.theverge.com/platform/amp/2017/11/13/16643678/att-verizon-cell-towers-tillman-infrastructure
  20. I like how it says “No more distractions, now it’s our time. “ Hopefully Sprint goes full steam ahead on upgrading their network as stated after the merger ended.
  21. Definitely a first gen product. That’s why I went with the 8+ until the 2018 iPhone X is released.
