  1. A couple of weeks ago there were sprint vehicles at a U.S. Cellular tower outside of Mackinaw And now it seems that there is Samsung network vision equipement on it. Any Ideas? My phone also goes from Sprint 1x800 from the tower in Morton and then to 1xRTT and it says I am on sprint and get almost full bars but my phone still says I am roaming on Sprint. Could it be a transition from U.S. Cellular tower to Sprint.

    ( U.S. Cellular has 3 Towers in a 5 Mile Radius.)

  2. I dont think it will be a year from now. Sprint plans to be wrapping up things by the middle of the year. It will be great to see Sprint launch LTe in Peoria, Washington, Morton, And Pekin. Also does anyone know what is going on in Glaesburg they were the first area to start seeing LTE and they still dont have anything in Galesburg. Is everyhting on delay because of the Freezing Temps. TIRED OF WINTER. Spring Pleaase.

  3. On my way home my phone went into roaming and when I checked the network I was it said Sprint. My bars increased once I hit the roaming area but it still continued to say Sprint. I have pictures below.

Then I thought that 1x800 would increase in coverage but it hasn't so far. It has been live for about four or five months and it gets the same signal strengths as 1900Mhz. Does Sprint limit the distance until everything is launched fully.

  4. Over the past few weeks I have been getting over 1mbps on eharp in downtown Bloomington in the morning, the afternoon it is not nearly as fast, this morning there was no 3g service. Is this what happens when they are upgrading towers to lte

Yes usually upgrades is the cause of service issues. and on sensorly it shows lte just west of Bloomington on 122

  5. In the last financial report USCC it was mentioned that they are exploring what can be done with those assets including selling them. It may have been an earlier report so if I am off a quarter sorry about that. Maybe USCC thought they could lease those towers to Sprint but that didn't pan out. Outside of the recently sold markets, I look for USCC to sell the rest of the network in the next year or two. The latest billing issues and reception problems after 4G upgrades are hastening the likelihood of a complete sale of USCC. The next question becomes who will buy them Verizon or Sprint.

I would love to see Sprint buy the assets if they come up for sale as Sprint could use a boost in the rural areas of Illinois.

I wish they would to U.S. Cellular has awesome coverage in Illinois and would love to see Sprint Buy them. Verizon Sucks hope they don't get it. I moved from those greedy people with a sucky network.
