  1. Looking at the NV complete map I don't really understand why you guys don't believe Milwaukee will be launched. There are more than enough towers done to be close to 30% which qualifies as a launched market.

If you compare the Sprint.com/coverage maps to what we have on our maps it's pretty filled in.

Either way we'll get our answer when it comes...

  2. smalltimehack, I'm not saying this as a call out, but if you're relying on Sprint sources on the ground...prepare to be disappointed. :(

Most of the time, they have conflicting and contradictory information. It sucks but that's the reality that we at S4GRU have to deal with. Fortunately we have the real tower layouts in our sponsor section so we can separate fact from fiction.

And I have emails from my account rep who runs Wisconsin saying Milwaukee specifically will be launched. I have access to the maps as well so in fully aware of how it looks. When an email comes down that says we're up to be launched and it lists Milwaukee and not any other cities surrounding I think my statement is fairly accurate. Believe what you want though.

I'm a firm believer in trust but verify... Without you having access to what I do I understand the doubts.

  3. If you are referring to my post, you may want to read it again. Milwaukee itself is not going to be announced, rather a city or two in the market which covers most of southern Wisconsin.

Milwaukee itself will be launched. I was informed of this last week. Should have been announced the 24th but we got nothing. No word on the hold up. But Milwaukee proper was listed. Not outlying cities.
  4. If you are a sponsor you can look at the map for NV sites compared to the completed sites and go from there.

The outskirts had to be done first before the bigger cities. If we shut off the inside first to do the upgrades without doing the outskirts it would be like a black out. You wouldn't be able to reach out and make calls. Consider the outskirt cities as a life line for when the inner city gets done.

  5. when i initially got my evo 3d i did not need to resign and got the right price, due to being a "sprint premier customer" since my number has been with sprint 10+ years.

no need to be rude dude.

also if you do your research before shitting on someone the LG G2 starts shipping by November 8th. logically that would mean that it would be in stores around the same time.

also sorry i misspelled arrave. shoot me.

The sense of entitlement is a bit unnecessary. You're not the only one that has issues. If you are given a g2 at the price you expect it for I will pay you back for it. Working in a store I've never seen anything remotely close to that happen. The furthest upgrade I've seen was a s2 to a s3 only because someone messed up their working and they had to honor it.

It may be stated it will ship then, my personal experience with device release is the employees aren't told officially until a week before.

And correct again on the premier program. Everything is subsidy or one up now. No in between.

  6. now if what i read is true, the LG G2 should be tri-band. my plan is to go to the sprint store, have them give it to me for the new contract price with out having to sign the contract. there is just no way at the moment that i want to be locked into a contract with sprint that cant meet their own definition of 3G speeds. With the G2 will my speeds be greater than the speeds i am currently getting with the Evo 3D?

Good luck. We haven't even been told when we'll get it released in the stores and getting the latest device off contract for the contract price?.. Put down the pipe and walk away.

Airrave is the word. Not airwave. Kills me when people say that.

But more than likely yes. If you're at a store they can look it up and see if you connect to one or not. It will show in the list of towers you use.

  7. How's about around Madison?

Unfortunately Madison is a part of the area that the Milwaukee teams cover.

My best guess just from sites they've tested is that the Milwaukee team works Sheboygan and down and they cover everything West out to Madison and maybe even a little further. I cannot remember if they were apart of the dells testing or not.

  8. I would not expect any new towers in Milwaukee proper or surrounding areas for at least this next week. Maybe the week after well see them but I have word the test teams have been in Appleton and all of the Milwaukee teams have been on standby.

Also 800 lte will probably begin testing around early December. The drivers will be receiving training on the new test software in the next coming weeks.

  9. Interesting story on the Fox 6 website about AT&T activating a new 4G tower in Oak Creek...it also mentions their efforts to improve their network.

If Sprint had any brains they would be using the media to show off their improvements..at the very least it is a great PR move.

The new tower is across the parking lot from a sprint tower on Howell. Lol. If there were pics you maybe could have seen our tower.
  10. I don't think anyone has any solid info on when sites will be upgraded to include the other LTE spectrum. That'll probably be some time next year. I think they're just trying to go balls-to-the-wall on getting the initial 1900Mhz LTE deployed so they try to catch up to the other carriers.

I posted about a week or more back about a Samsung test driver telling me that this month they would be getting equipment to test lte 800 so it will probably be sooner than we think.

But then again he tests from Madison south to the border and as far north as green bay. So who knows where it will pop up first.
