Maybe not as bad as originally thought? Only about 1% of users should be potentially affected. For now. -

This was announced a while ago but it sounds like it might really be moving forward. First thing that comes to my mind is it probably won't work indoors. Does the the FCC have to sign off on this kind of thing? Have they? I have no inside info but my guess is this will probably be limited to subscribers of T-Mo's top tier plan(s)? You are correct. Adding and removing lines was done totally on the watch with SPRINT. AND charges were prorated. If you only needed Watch cellular for a short time you’d only pay for the time you used. With T-Mobile, watch lines are considered a special DIGITs line. I do not claim to understand DIGIT lines other than Watches are a special case and the only way to remove them are through support and all the issues that involves. -

I converted from Sprint to T-Mobile immediately after the merger. I received a similar message. It was I was loosing the Sprint discount I was receiving based on where I was working. Funny thing was I was already retired for 3 years but Sprint was still giving me the discount. T-Mobile wasn’t so generous. J -

Yep. Even after numerous breaches they have the nerve to ask for our banking information and give up protections credit cards offer or be charged $10/line. Uncarrier? Maybe more like Unbelievable. -

Is T-Mobile shifting focus from midband 5G to fiber? Or UScellular? Is this good? -

Does this affect ALL customers of just former Sprint customers? This is the first time I've heard of such a policy. I would think if this affects all T-Mo customers the message boards would be on fire. -

I was on the Apple IUP for 3 yrs. It worked as advertised but they did a HARD credit pull each year when I upgraded. So now I got an Apple Credit Card which lets you finance a device over 24 month with no interest as long as you do a carrier activation. If you don do an activation it works like any other credit card. Since I do an upgrade every year I just trade in my 1 yr old iPhone to Apple and they give me about 50% every year when I purchase the next phone. According to my math which could be flawed I am paying for half a phone every year which is what I was doing on the Apple IUP but this way there is no credit score hit. Buying direct from Apple has a plus of the phones are unlocked (unless you finance through ATT) so you are free to switch carriers any time. -

Yes. Deals vary. As I understand it free phones are really set up as an installment plan and as long as the line is active T-Mobile makes the payments via bill credits. If you leave or cancel the line then you make the remaining payments over time or all at once. Your choice. Full disclosure I’ve never done one. -

Stuff like this: Add a new line or trade in a qualifying phone on a Go5G Plus plan for a free Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5—the strongest Flip yet. Open it up and turn heads. Add a new line or trade in a qualifying phone on a Go5G Plus plan for up to $1000 off the new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5. Double the screen. Double the experience. Usually for new customers but if you're on Go5G Plus as an existing customer you can take advantage of it. In these examples you need a "qualifying" trade-in. Whatever that is. -

About a month ago my voice service was exemplary using your settings. Then I tried 5G Standalone just for grins and 30% of my voice calls dropped after 5 minutes. Coincidence? I switched back and no more dropped calls. Iphone 14 Pro Max. iOS 16.6 J -

Don't quote me but I hear it's to reduce fraud. It's too easy to buy an unlocked phone and then sell it overseas at exhorbataht prices. I don't understand the connection to the Apple Card specifically. -

Only if you want to use an Apple Credit Card AND take advantage of 24 months @ 0%. Some folks are unhappy since they only applied for the Apple Card for the 24 payments at no interest. Rereading my post I can see how it could be confusing. -

I use to do that but didn’t like the hard credit pulls the financing bank did. Then I got an Apple Credit card. 3% Daily Cash on the purchase and 24 mos 0% payments. Now no 24 mos 0% unless the phone is activated on one of the Big Three which means no SIM/eSIM Free phones. So this year I’ll just use Discover which has 5% cash back through September on purchase made via Online Wallets eg. Apple Pay, Google Play, Samsung Pay etc..
