  1. The Sprint auction article on FW is becoming a Magentan troll festival. However, the article title of it, is pure clickbait for them, and clearly shows FW's bias against Sprint :

Look at how many times Fabian comments. It's really sad lol

  2. I have not even received the official return kit yet.  I got an email on Sat stating it had been sent out.

While I am glad that Sprint is reacting faster to the competition with rolling out new plans and promos, the problem is when you move so fast you can't do proper system testing and staff training.  It does not make for the best customer experience.

I would';ve MUCH preferred to take it to the sprint store. But like I said. I will pay for tracking so if anything happens its not on me.

  3. Yeah, reddit has mixed stories also with some saying they took their phones, others saying they would not.  Not really happy with this situation.  I am not that comfortable mailing back my old phone with that big charge sitting on my acct.  I got my bill today and it was on there showing due on Oct 14.  I really don't want to pay it and then just get a bill credit back.  I am not happy with this situation and wish it would have been explained better when I ordered. I am actually considering just doing a return and unwinding it to get the charges removed and then doing a new transaction and just doing the giveback in store then on the spot.  I wonder if that can be done.

Just called them and they said I can't bring it to the store blah blah blah. Im going to take it to USPS and pay for tracking. I am not sending 2100 dollars in phones back without tracking in case they get lost.

  4. Seemed that way to me too. I pass by Sprint/AT&T/Verizon stores on the way to work and from the drive past they seemed empty and the Verizon store I had lunch by was barren.

Maybe Apple's direct selling strategy is having a big impact?

Ive never noticed the carriers having long lines. Usually like 30 or 40 people. It'll def be consistent through the day with people. Tmrow will be more busy for sure

  5. After speaking with chat, the only way we would qualify for the 1$ deal is if we paid off the lease. At this point we already have a killer deal with our loyalty credit and the buy back credit so Im just going to stick with it.

And to qualify we would've all had to been eligible for our 2 year upgrade, or had our phones paid off. Only 1 device had the 2 year upgrade. And none were paid off. So I think the loyalty credit route was a better way. 1st line was just activated on our account. He's currently setting everything up now.

  6. Correct, you can cancel an existing lease within the 14 day window and resell the same handset to the same customer under the current promotion.

Only issue I started my new plan on the 7th, but pre-ordered the 6s on the first day possible. But I have not received it yet so technically the 14 day return has not applied to it yet. Something like that .... haha

  7. I went to a sprint store and the rep told me to call order support and cancel my pre-order since it's within 24 hours to be able to take advantage of the offer since I already accepted a lease agreement during the pre-order process online. Called them and they canceled my order with no problem, just having to escalate things to have my upgrade eligibility reset

So I went into the store and they had no idea what the plan is. AS expected because its not even out yet. They said I would have to come in tomorrow and see if they can cancel the lease buy taking back both phones and restart it right again with the same device. I then proceeded to call support right then and there, and he confirmed that what they said was true and that we "should" be able to return the 6, and 6s in the unopened box and then restart the lease on the newer pricing

They should make this easier and just let the damn promotion be adjustable. And once more, I just spoke with online chat and they said that more would be available tomorrow and they already have clients inquiring about it.

Someone get a definite answer. Any employees want to chime in on this? Theoretically, if we all return our iPhone 6 devices and pick up our iPhone 6s  (after canceling the order), we should instantly all qualify for the better pricing because we have an eligible upgrade after returning the pre-order. Therefore, my brothers and my phone will cost 5.77 ea, and the other two will be 1$. Only issue is, one line is puerto rico.

  8. was able to talk with a rep and work out a way to upgrade even though I got a new phone last year on the iPhone for Life plan under 2 year upgrades. Did pre-order last night since the ship dates weren't too far off for the phone I wanted. Stopping by a Sprint store on my lunch break to see if it's possible to change too!

from what I was told by the Sprint representative that I chatted with via phone, there shouldnt be a reason we wouldn't be able to switch to the lower pricing. Especially since we literally just upgraded our phone plan less than a week ago
