Anyone with GV Lite (voicemail only) having issues recently? My voicemails are suddenly going to the default Sprint system now, and when I try deactivating or reactivating my N5 with the * dialer code provided by GV (that always worked in the past), it says the feature code is not valid.

I'm getting this right now.

They messed up band priorities about 2 months ago. Why would sprint force you on 3g, no signal, or B25 vice how they used to keep you in B41? I've been asked by sprint care to send them details but what more details then all towers in the LA and OC area shunt you off B41 (when you rarely get it) to no signal or 3g when we used to surf constantly in B41? Service has never been worse.
Something more might be going on...Pretty sure I'm still connecting to band 41 the majority of the time. I'll start paying more attention though.

I personally think it's because of the massive subscriber adds they're having quarter after quarter.
I've noticed in a few rootmetrics reports that t-mobile speeds have decreased. It's not unusable by any means but they've decreased overall so it may be cause for concern from the tmobile engineering department who may be raising alarms early and then tmobile preemptively attacking the issue head on via applying the TOS to the top 3% of data users.
I don't have an issue with throttling but I'm not like the approach being taken. I feel carrier's need to be more transparent. They're throttling the top 3% of user's but they don't define or provide you with what usage places you in that tier, and why start at 3%, why not 2%, or even 1%?
They throttled the user down .02MBPS. Wouldn't throttling the connection to 1-5Mbps be enough to manage their network while allowing the user continued use of their phone?

I mean I don't mind it, in reality the 10-15 is more than enough for everything, including Netflix and other video streaming. It's more curiosity and observation on my part.
Yep. I don't really pay much attention to speed tests that much anymore because Sprint's service pretty much has been working as I need it to. I rarely have a problem streaming music, video or browsing the web. I have also noticed I'm no longer dropping calls like I used too.
I do still run speed tests but its usually because i'm stuck somewhere and bored, and I've seen everywhere from 3Mbps to 71 Mbps while connected to LTE. Unless I'm downloading a large App or something, it all works the same for me tho.

Around $56.00 I think every month for 1 line, two year contract.

You are aware that your able to enable full Google voice integration (Sprint is the only carrier to support this awesome feature, you can use your own number to make calls) and use Hangouts dialer(basically VoLTE or Wifi) to make and receive unlimited calls from your N6, also has the added benefit of being able to use data and voice simultaneously.
It surprises the hell out of me when people dont know about it.
It works amazingly well...
I like the idea of Google Voice but IIRC Google Voice integration does not support HD voice and there is also additional latency (delay) introduced into your call. Those two things made me disable it.

For whatever it is worth, someone at Sprint proactively sent me a message from their forums asking for details about the issue. It sounds like they have absolutely no idea yet what is causing the problem but are genuinely trying to narrow it down.

Im contacting google now. Seeing if there is an issue or sprint is just not taking us seriously.
What did they say?
-
Its really annoying
Tell me about it! This phone has a serious bug with sending text messages while connected to LTE. I'm using it on 3G now unless I need fast data.
There's a thread over at the Sprint message boards if you want somewhere to vent: https://community.sprint.com/baw/thread/179054?start=60&tstart=0
I can't tell if they are really taking the issue seriously or not.

For whatever it is worth, we weren't able to activate Google play Nexus 5's initially either last year. It took about 24 hours for Sprint to get it sorted out if I remember correctly.
I'm not sure why Sprint won't white list devices that are identical to the one's they sell on request. I'm guessing they have a logical reason to not do it. Just wish we knew what it was.

Sprint just credited my account the amount I paid for the nexus on my bill and in turn made my bill -82 instead of 250..
Something is not quite right. Gonna call them in the morning to see what gives.
They did the same to my account immediately after I ordered the phone. Not that I know anything but I'm not worried about it.

Looks like @SprintCare tried to say that the Nexus 6 will be offered on Sprint starting November 15th.

edit: looks like they backtracked on the statement.

Well, not Google, I wish Sprint would let us know the launch details. I found where they gave the info last year for the Nexus 5 and it was only 8 days before launch, so hopefully it'll be soon.
This announcement also coincided with the announcement and release of the Nexus 5 from Google. Hopefully we'll have the details once Google starts shipping.

Isn't it true that Nexus 5 phones bought on Tmobile won't work on Sprint?
Pretty sure they would work on Sprint. Sprint just doesn't allow it.
-
It would be nice to know.I really hope Sprint will carry the 64 GB version, but I am doubtful.
T-Mobile is communicating with people on Twitter and answering peoples questions with real answers while Sprint says they have no idea. You have to appreciate what T-Mobile is doing as they act just add excited as there users are. They are carrying only mystic blue 32 and 64.
Does Sprint really not know yet when the phone will be available and/or which models they'll be carrying?

I want to get a 64gb but I don't want to pay $700 from the play store because of my money at the moment. I'm hoping sprint will carry the 64gb so I can purchase it on easy pay.
Sent from my Nexus 5
I'm really hoping we will know when Sprint is planning on directly offering the phone and with which options before the preorder on the Play store go's live.

The new L preview is so much nicer compared to the earlier build. Almost night and day. I'm really enjoying it now. Signal check is working perfectly as far as I can tell too.

My iPhone 5S on Sprint drops to 3G or 1x constantly while my iPad Air on T-Mobile stays on LTE almost everywhere I go. T-Mobile doesn't have low frequencies in LA either, so I think something else is wrong with Sprint's LTE.
Having access to band 41 helps a ton. My triband phone is mostly connected to LTE.

Yeah probably because all of those require extra red tape and/or have more challenging installations. There are plans to convert many of the DAS sites around Malibu, Topanga, Palisades, Studio City, etc but it looks like most of them are planned for 2015.
Can't wait for this.

A constant stream of data disrupts your devices ability to scan for additional LTE bands, and can cause you to drop to 3G because your device simply doesn't know what is available. For any device, streaming data makes changing bands and/or technologies more difficult.

I stream music on the road. So I hope less connection reset
How do you stream your music? Some app's that stream music will download data only periodically as needed so they are not actually always using your data connection.

Negative! That is not the Korean model in fact it's a Shiney Gold variant which Korean models aren't sporting. Also there is no antenna on it. Just take a real good look at the pics in the article. Now I know the US version is wireless capable and that there's an LG wireless charger which is all clearly shown in the article's pic but what you may have failed to realize is the device sporting the quick circle case from LG. This may in fact be the case that allow the wireless charging with the Qi Wireless Charger but make no mistake that the US version IS wireless capable.
I don't think anyone is arguing the US version is not capable of charging wirelessly. It is just not capable of doing this out of the box. It needs replacement back cover that is compatible with wireless charging. The quick circle case replaces the back cover that comes with the phone and is compatible with wireless charging.
Quick circle cases and replacement back covers that are compatible with wireless charging are currently not that cheap.

According to Forbes it does come with wireless charging. Article as of 11 July 2014....

Probably reviewing the Korean model which has wireless charging. As others have stated, the US version does not come with wireless charging enabled. You'll have to buy a replacement back cover or a case to enable it.

Duplicate SMS MMS
in Network, Network Vision/LTE Deployment

has taking a phone to the store for diagnostic ever resolved a duplicate SMS issue? I really feel like telling the user to do that is just telling the user to waste their time.
