It's so cold I'm still not getting any data speeds downtown. Oh wait...it's always that way

I was out an about this weekend around the metro and was amazed by how much LTE is on. I have a moto x now and it chimes when I switch to 4g. It was a Christmas miracle!

Now its back to 1x800 again same BID. What an education....

Hey what's the big idea? My 1x800 is gone! But the BID is still 12000

Ah ok that makes sense. I'll try to get more info tomorrow.

I got 4g across from the downtown library today. The BID was different from the tower I usually am off of. I had two bars of signal. I can post my screenshot but the BSL says click for map. Is it possible I'm connecting to the lone 4G tower on the south side?

I've switched back to 1XRTT and eHRPD this morning now and my tower shows 12th st. Does that mean the 12th st tower could have been down or being worked on?

Also my downtown tower is on 1x800 too!!!!

Sprint announced a bunch of locations for LTE today including the quad cities and cedar rapids. Our time MUST be next.

Ok so new week. What miracles can we hope for? Do all the crews take off this week?

No LTE at smokey row yet.

Delayed? Weeks or months in your opinion? Good thing I have my backup connection to weather this out.

Does this mean they will mostly be 800 MHz? Also, does that mean they will all have higher speed 3G?

Yes I don't believe we will see any changes but I do have alot of faith in bmoses. I just switched to the nexus 5 so I'm interested to see how it performs on LTE.Umm... Getting 3G acceptances and 1x800 acceptances would be the result of the "switch getting flipped" so to speak on December 10th or around there. What you are essentially saying is I don't think it is realistic that there will be more 1x800 at some point next week, because it isn't there this week.

spoke with the ticket department (I have an open ticket for dropped calls), they said things are going to happen on December 10th tentatively.
That's a week. We don't have 800 downtown at all or on the southside airport side. I don't see that as realistic. I would really like to know how they come up with these dates.

I have going back and re-reading this topic from start to finish. So much useful info. It's like a total Sprint education while waiting for the LTE work to complete!

My tower was down over the weekend. Very strange wouldn't connect to anything in but Carlisle. Good sign!!!

Also I've noticed speeds are better on android over iOS. IPhone 5 vs HTC One. Could be the greater ram.

OK so I've noticed today that my tower downtown is broadcasting evdo only now and not erhpd or whatever. Does this meaning they were testing maybe? Speeds seem faster this morning.

South side tower by fleur takes forever to connect a call....upwards of 30 seconds. Is this common during upgrades? I noticed it doesn't take as long at other places around town but this is pretty consistent. Also our home phone is thru Sprint and it's been really flakey lately.
