Funny, I was there and when I checked my phone (for the time... I wanted to catch a show at Harley-Davisdon stage) and I had LTE. Didn't check it much before or after.

Simply put... Since it happens every 11 years (or so) and you've gone through at least one, and I've gone through 3 (although, the extra arm I sprouted back in '91 solar max comes in handy when taking down a crook), it's not a big deal. We didn't fry and your skinnamax stayed on. The sun isn't gonna essplode. Zombies aren't gonna rise from their graves and Twinkies will be back on the shelves in a couple weeks.

I've had a couple moments of 4G in my neighborhood so this is getting nice. I was too busy dancing in the streets to get any Sensorly data. But when it comes back and I'm home, I'll drive around and map it out.

Perhaps the troop or Council invest in a satellite phone? I know they're also available for rent if you're in a remote area. But I really don't see any carrier building any site in the boonies for any real reason.
