So Sprint's adding an Amazon Prime add-on feature. For $10.99 per month you can add amazon prime to your phone bill.
http://newsroom.sprint.com/article_display.cfm?article_id=12168
That's a 33% premium over getting it direct from Amazon. I guess some people won't care. Or they'll just want it for a month here and there.
Maybe they don't know that April fools day is tomorrow... Lol

No offense to joshuam who started the Marcelo thread, not trying to criticize his choice of thread naming. However, perhaps the Marcelo thread could be renamed to the "Sprint Business and Policy Thread". It might help for clarity.
I didn't name this thread, it was merged from a few different threads back in the day. My post just happens to be first.
FYSA...no Sprint outage in Maryland today. Must have been further north.

It's gotten better...ATT is king and provides service for Disney Co. Verizon/Tmo/Sprint all have dead zones in places...while ATT has solid coverage. It's interesting because Nextel used o have the Disney Co contract, but that never carried over to coverage for Sprint users.Interesting reads. How's LTE at the Disney Properties these days?

More reason why John Legere is so annoying talking about "Customer Pain Points". Watching 480p streaming at 1.5mbps on a 2k display, is enough to cause pain and of course eye strain from the blurry horrible image.
That is a pretty bogus and asinine comment coming from someone who hasn't even tried it. Get over it. What is your vision at anyways? 20/20 or better?

Two things that have helped me with battery life.
1. I noticed that when I take my phone off the charger, according to GSAM the phone never sleeps. Usually a restart and it will fall into a deep sleep.
2. I changed the location mode to GPS only, and this cut down drastically on the Google Play services usage.
Battery life has improved significantly for me after these two adjustments but I am still getting High Android system drain.
Thanks for the tips.

Here in NYC, its like 95% outdoors, 85% indoors. And this is using NYC's PCS spacing (which granted is pretty dense). So it sounds like densification is more in order around your neck of the woods.
People need to stop sleeping on Band 41..
Within the city limits of Baltimore, band 41 is pretty decent. But Sprints density outside of urban areas in Maryland mean you spend a lot of time on band 26...even outdoors. They still don't have complete LTE coverage on I-95...need more towers. It's going to be a slow climb up the hill in some areas...which is why I think it's smart for them to hit hard in urban high density areas first, then focus on the rest. Fixing the cities will help subscriber numbers more than suburbs or rural.

T-Mobile has a BOGO offer on this thing. I guess it's not selling that well on the Magenta side or they need to show more lines added?
Only for new lines...same promo at ATT.

Does the S7 support Sprint bands that the S5 does not? Besides carrier aggregation, will there be tangible signal improvements when moving from an S5 (assuming upgraded towers)?
No.

It amazes me that year after year, all 4 carriers still struggle a lot with preorders for devices. You'd think they would figure it out by now.

I am surprised no one has posted this here. Looks like Sprint has quietly brought some small cells online.
And even more noteworthy its live!
Nice speeds considering only 2 bars. I know bars aren't everything...but bars are perception and perception is everything.

I placed my order for a black S7 Edge this evening. I was going back and forth between the S7 and S7 edge...finally decided on the edge because it's still smaller than my iPhone 6S Plus, but it also weighs a good bit less. I'm pretty excited. Leaving the iOS ecosystem is tough...but I really do like Android with Touchwiz now that it's finally cleaned up. The camera on my Note 5 was better than the iPhone 6S Plus, so I'm confident in the S7 being even better. Waterproof and SD card is just the icing on the cake.

Who said not to look into it?

Asyryn suggested it.

If 5G could make more efficient use of the available spectrum, then that could solve capacity issues in places. It'd be dumb for them no to be looking into it at some level.

Perception? Fantasy??? Root Metrics thinks Verizon IS the best. It is reality.5G is nothing more than marketing spin to build further perception of the fantasy that Verizon is best.

Can't decide on S7 or S7 Edge...hmm. Anyone with an Edge device still happy with their choice?
-
People still make phone calls? Didn't realize. Lol

If you take a look back in history most people never had open minds only a select few. That has not changed.
That is a generational thing. Baby boomers and Gen X tends to be very brand loyal, Gen X tend to have zero brand loyalty...but millenials are bringing brand loyalty back.

It would be a big mistake to ignore Sprint as a competitor. T-Mobile has been riding on the same tide for a while, it will not last forever. Besides, they are not even close to the duapoly.
But they can probably not focus on it for the time being (likely another year or so) until Sprint's image improves. Until then, focus on the bigger piece of pie. It makes sense for T-Mobile to go after Verizon at this point in time.

Per T-Mobile....Sprint held up very well at the super bowl....although all 4 did VERY well for such a big event!

Seems miscalculated for a wireless carrier in Sprints position. They did it last year...their marketing was getting better. But now...I'm not sure what to think. Missed opportunity I guess.

No Sprint commercial this year during the Super Bowl? Last years commercial was great! ????????

The fine print for the new unlimited promo says it include hot spot.

I have that happen on both my Sprint and Tmo line every so often. Never noticed a pattern that I've known about. Just chalked it up to a network glitch.
