  1. Please post Twitter quotes and links, not just links. AJ
  2. Joking aside, I do think this a bit of a gaffe on the part of HTC -- both to call this handset "M9" and to offer it in a "gunmetal" finish. HTC should have skipped one or the other this generation. AJ
  3. Sir, I am going to tell you one more time. Put the M9 down, or we will have to shoot you. AJ
  4. You should tweet back that your now GSM 1900 signal on your HTC Sensation 4G is not great -- and definitely not "4G." AJ
  5. Is the M9 available this year in gunmetal? That could cause some confusion. AJ
  6. I set up my M9 for conceal and carry. AJ
  7. Arrowhead Stadium may never be great. There are simply too many Sprint employees, let alone just run of the mill Sprint subs at Chiefs games. The problem is massive market share among that demographic in Kansas City. Regardless, I would not count on the macro network anymore anyway. The Chiefs have installed an enterprise grade Wi-Fi network that is pretty solid. It does the heavy data lifting now. AJ
  8. My question, though, is how is this DAS different from the Sprint site that has long been at Kauffman Stadium? Coverage has never been a problem; only capacity has been an issue. And a second Sprint band 41 carrier was already on air at the World Series last fall. So, I wonder if this release is not really news, just good PR. AJ
  9. Do you know the difference between an international unlock and a domestic unlock? I suspect that you got the former but not the latter. If so, technically, your handset is "unlocked." And therein lies one of the complications. AJ
  10. Likely, customer service did not "lie." Do not make that accusation without further evidence. See Hanlon's razor: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hanlon%27s_razor You said yourself, the process is "semi new." Unlike those nifty shit GSM operators, Sprint has not been unlocking devices for decades. Give it some time to become commonplace practice. Customer service reps are not rocket scientists. Otherwise, we all would be paying far more for wireless service. AJ
  11. The correct answer is neither Sprint nor T-Mobile. Or, better yet, bury the BlackBerry in the ground and hope it grows. With a BlackBerry on either Sprint or T-Mobile, you are going to have a less than optimal experience -- because no BlackBerry to my knowledge supports Sprint's band 26/41 LTE network nor T-Mobile's band 12 LTE network. AJ
  12. Some people overuse their handsets. They cannot put them down, such that they must charge the handsets multiple times per day and wear their batteries too quickly. I am convinced that the APA soon will add smartphone addiction to its latest DSM. Treatment centers will offer recovery programs. And that is no joke. AJ
  13. Dungeons & Dragons. The Apple nerds are playing it in their parents' basements. AJ
  14. You are out of The Loop in Chicago? But if we find someone else who is between Wabash and Wells and Lake and Van Buren, he will know the scoop? Okay, we need to find such a person. AJ
  15. Uh, aloha? He is in Hawaii -- thousands of fiber miles from the mainland. AJ
  16. Plenty of people -- especially older and/or lower socioeconomic status subs -- keep their handsets for upwards of five years. They may have bought their handsets new several years ago. Or they may have bought older handsets more recently on the second hand market. If this report about Indianapolis is true -- and I question its veracity -- failure to warn all subs in advance is a chicken shit move on the part of T-Mobile. AJ
  17. If so, T-Mobile is screwing over thousands of its users in the Indianapolis metro. AJ
  18. If those speed tests are accurate, then they necessarily point to 20 MHz FDD. AJ
  19. Not well. It does not hold up against the Snapdragon 810 either. In the flagship specs fight, LG is going to take it on the chin with this one. LG is already an afterthought compared to Samsung and HTC. Using the hexa core Snapdragon 808 in what is now an octo core world just puts LG even further out in left field. The G4 will have to be sold at a tremendous discount straight out of the gate in order to compete with the other flagships. AJ
  20. The flash fired in the first shot. Did it fire in the second shot? If not, that is an apples to oranges comparison. AJ
  21. Maybe it is McDonald's "Billions Served" or Justin Bieber. Because we know that popularity -- especially temporary -- is a sign of lasting quality and a moral good. AJ
  22. Examine data usage patterns near service areas along the Kansas Turnpike with band 41 deployment and many long haul truckers camped overnight in their rigs. That is called a counterpoint. AJ
