  1. Can't speak for anywhere else, but the ISP I used to work for didn't log/monitor user activity. Of course, it was a smaller, regional ISP, and that was a few years ago, so who knows what the big guys do now. As for where I work now, you bet all user activity is monitored and logged. From my experience, companies pay a *lot* more attention to what their employees do than ISPs do their customers.

    What is a PRL?

After reading this again and digging around the forums, there are a couple basic things I'm trying to make sure I understand: Do different kinds of devices on the same CDMA carrier have different PRLs? If so, is it based on their capabilities, or something else? Are the PRLs pushed to Sprint MVNO (Ting, VM, etc) subscribers different from those Sprint pushes to its direct subscribers? And does Sprint push different PRLs based on the subcribers service (post-pay vs pre-pay, etc)? I've done some rudimentary poking around in my current phones PRL, but I want to make sure I understand the scope of a PRL before I start digging in deep.
  3. Just curious, did your second phone activate cleanly? My first ebay sourced Victory had a bad ESN (was listed as clean, seller took it back and refunded the cost). I just bought my second, hopefully I'll have more luck with this one. Also, did you do the 4.1.1 update, or leave them at 4.0?
  4. *grumble* bad esn... *grumble* *grumble*
  5. http://www.buzzfeed.com/peggy/simon-peggs-ipad-tweet I'd post an image, but it hassled me a bit.
  6. Ting's got a refurb Samsung M370 for $38, not sure if that would fit the bill. I would think you could activate it on sprint just fine if you wanted. Not the best for messaging, but you mentioned the old sanyo flips. Of course, you can find cheap androids like the optimus S for < $50 as well, i'd think android has some decent parental controls (never looked though to be honest).
  7. I use the same handle most places, so it's quite possible. If by DSLR you mean the camera, probably not.
  8. Pretty soon is ... now: https://ting.com/blog/lte-sprint-devices-can-now-come-to-ting/ And (how convenient) the Victory is on the initial supported list - which is Samsung only at this point. Funny, I got accepted to beta test this, and they rolled it out before I even got my phone . Gonna be a fun weekend!
  9. Thats great to hear! Especially since there does appear to be little dev activity for it so far. I just grabbed one off ebay Tuesday night for ~$100. Should be here tomorrow or Saturday. Even my lowly Optimus S can be flashed to JB (though it wheezes pretty heavily, works better with ICS). It'd be sad if the Victory was stuck at ICS.
