How did you manage them to bump it up early? I called trying to get them to move an upgrade up 12 days because the (refurb) phone they gave us is failing, and they wouldn't budge one bit.
-
I wonder if the weather has slowed them down? I haven't seen anything in the Portage/Kzoo/TR area lately.

A friend from the downriver area was visiting this weekend. We installed Sensorly and set it up on his Evo LTE and he's going to do some mapping later today.

My brother texted me last night from Woodhaven/Taylor area of Michigan, and said he had a full bars of LTE on his iPhone 5. There is a little blip there already (Pennsylvania Rd and Allen Rd). Hopefully someone will start mapping out downriver some more! Can't wait to visit Michigan again later this summer!
I'll be over that way next weekend and will do some monitoring as I am in the area.

Rob, thanks for providing all the great content. I threw a few bucks in a week ago, but plan on adding more. Also, if you need any help moderating the site, I currently am a mod on a Mustang forum and have been doing so on various auto sites for years.

Thanks for the tips guys. I told him to check the network mode as well.

I can confirm dearborn tell him to turn airplane mode on and then off I have mapped out everything I could have in the dearborn market onto sensorly running
He's tried cycline airplane mode, but still no luck. Any other suggestions?

Can anyone confirm if the Dearborn tower is broadcasting LTE? I talked with my dad, who works around Oakwood & Southfield, and he couldn't pick up LTE on his S3, despite being outside and in a strong area (from the Sensorly map). I told him to cycle airplane mode, but it didn't help. Any other suggestions for an S3? I also told him to try updating his PRL.

Reading more about this phone and it's LTE performance kind of saddens me. I'm not the big Sammy fan like everyone else seems to be. They just feel light and plasticy to me. I'm even less of a Apple fan. I love the solid feel of HTC phones.
Wonder if I will have to pony up for the ONE! UGH
I'm in the same boat as you, I'm concerned about the LTE performance and considering switching phones to an S4 or One, depending on what features the S4 has come Thursday. I agree with you though, the HTC phones have always had great build quality. My first issue was with my LTE screen going out after 6 months, which caused me to get a refurb.

I'm really wanting this to be a hit for HTC. I'm thinking hard about replacing my Evo LTE with this once it comes out, but I'm concerned that Sense, as usual will be bloated and take several updates to polish out better. Right now, either the S4 or One are going to be my next phone, unless Sprint gets a Nexus device in the near future. I've grown quite fond of my N7 and how smooth it operates.

it should be on the main Page or the Wall page to the right
It wasn't on the main page, but the main portion of the forums. I just donated once I found it.

Apparently I'm blind or missing something and can't find the link to donate. I'm used to vB and this forum is a little different than the site I moderate for.

I took a drive up 131 last night and couldn't connect to LTE at W Main. I got off, went west a bit, then turned around and went back south.

LTE in South Rockwood!
Wow, that's nice! Just bring it further north a bit.

Does anyone know what the tower being built at 75 and West Rd., northeast corner of the interchange is for?
-
...and I was foiled by autocorrect again.
-
Mapped as much as I could
Seal, did you map that along 75? If so, nice catch!
-
I see a strong trail of LTE on 75 between Newport and Rockwood showed up. Hopefully the Downriver area starts getting some signal soon.
-
I'll be travelling along 94 today, so I'll see if I can pick up any of the recently listed signals.

I've been noticing better service all the way down 131, but nothing 4G in the Portage area just yet.
HTC One preview thread (was "Any M7 takers?")

The reviews I've read so far have been nothing but positive, in regards to both the performance (no lag) and battery life. The camera has been a mixed bag, but I expected that. Hopefully, the ability to turn on/off Blinkfeed gets added and a few minor tweaks to Sense 5, and I think the phone will do well. Now HTC just has to market the hell out of it to make it a success.
