It's about time that the pocket of untouched towers in the Downriver area got some attention. That was a black hole for bad service.

I had sim card error once also. After digging around the interwebs I found that others have turned off phone, removed sim, replaced sim, then restarted phone. Issue disappears as it did for me. Seems to be that the card loses contact after a bump or what not.
This worked for me some time ago. I believe I posted in here when it happened. I've seen the SIM error once since, but it was only for a few minutes, and cleared itself without any interaction from me.

Downloading now.

Another small update to fix the PRL/profile issues is rolling out today.
-
I've seen numerous reports that Profile and PRL updates aren't working since the update. I can confirm mine is doing this post-update, but I didn't check it before installing. Has anyone tried to resolve the issue?

Picked up 4G just north of Three Rivers today. Didn't map it, will try tomorrow.

Portage signal has improved over the last week, and I'm seeing LTE in more places than before. From Centre to Westnedge it seems to keep a 4G signal. On the other hand, there is a "black hole" in northern Three Rivers/Park Township at the moment. No 3G at all.

Seems like the past 2-3 weeks the service has been awful. I was driving east on 94 and dropped calls several times between Battle Creek and Jackson. Driving on 131 daily I tend to drop calls as well, usually just south of Schoolcraft. I'm beginning to get frustrated with the recent drop in quality.

I've noticed sending MMS messages takes quite a bit longer compared to the 4.1 build. Loving the enhanced notifications part though.

Noticed the text vibration is longer and slower than before. Not real crazy about the signal strength indicator changes either.

Downloading it now. Didn't take long into October at all.

This is the first phone I can wait and don't mind. Overall, it's been a pretty flawless experience with my One.

Canadian One's are getting the 4.3 update today. While we won't see it here in the US by the end of Sept. as promised, it sounds like the update isn't too far off. Maybe mid-Oct. at the latest?

I pulled the SIM and put it back in, which seemed to do the trick.

Started getting the "No SIM card" error tonight. Put the phone in my pocket to drive to work and when I took it out at my desk, the icon was in the tray. Not thrilled about it, regardless of the cause.

Just started my download as well.

How many people here are in the Kalamazoo/Portage area? I haven't seen much activity lately and was wondering if anyone else has.
Other than the truck at the site down on 131 and XY, I haven't seen anything. I'm on both the east and west threads, because I travel along 94 frequently.

While I'm trying not to knee jerk at the new plans, I do find them interesting. My opinion is they'll start with these and ride them out for 6-9 months, and eventually mothball the Everything plans and force people into them, possibly this time next year. I also don't think Softbank had input on these like some have said. The timing doesn't line up.
With my contract coming up in Feb., and with just getting a new phone and all other lines in contracts until 2015, I have time. I'm giving Sprint time to further flush out NV (MI has seen a lot of love since the beginning of the year), and wait until we have actual reports of pricing and increases (4 lines here, but may drop to two soon) to compare apples to apples. These plans certainly line up better with the VZW and ATT offerings as of late, but don't offer any incentives that truly jump out on paper (at least not to me).

Look what just made the front page of the Gazette today.....http://www.mlive.com/news/kalamazoo/index.ssf/2013/07/portage_the_home_of_first_mono.html
Interesting. They mention the flagpole across the street can't be upgraded. I wonder if the same applies for the flagpole site at Centre/12th. Granted, one is Sprint, the other is Verizon, but it's an interesting question. Maybe Sprint will throw up their own monopine at that site.

That is the tower my in-laws live by. Too bad they are only 8 months into their iPhone 4s' contracts.
As you can see in the sponsor section, this (S Westnedge behind Lowes) tower is really the first "Portage" tower. There are six more to go with two additional ones on the western/north-western edge for Portage. Kalamazoo/Oshtemo/Comstock have about double that left.
I need to go back and look at the map. I was looking at coverage, and it appears over near Cork/Sprinkle we've got LTE coverage. Over near 12th, it's dead. If they can move across the city quick, I'll be a happy camper. Then they need to move south along 131 and I'd really be set :-)
-
They still need to knock out the flagpole south of Centre, west of 131. Looking at Sensorly, there's a gap on the west edge of Portage that needs to be filled soon. I believe only two towers are needed to complete the Portage area.

For the HTC flashlight apk, I downloaded a copy, but it does not allow me to toggle between the three different intensities? It only shows the low setting and a message saying to push the button to change intensity, but nothing happens... So I had to download another flashlight app... Did anyone experience this with the HTC apk?
The version I am using works fine. I found it on XDA. The shape of the flashlight is different compared to other versions (less Mag-Lite, more contemporary) but works the same way.

You'll also want to find a copy of the HTC Flashlight apk. I did that first and am glad to have it back on my device.
Question - for those of you running the UAG case (just looked it up), how does it compare to the Otterbox Commuter? I'm running that right now, but this UAG one looks intriguing.

I finally did it. I got the HTC One.... Coming from the HTC EVO 4G LTE, I must say that I am impressed at how quick and responsive this phone is.....
As for the LTE connectivity, I did notice an improvement over the EVO (not surprised there)... As a matter of fact, when I went to the sprint store, they were side by side, and as expected, the EVO was in 3G and the One had 4G no issues....
I couldn't agree more. Although it was more costly to switch, it was definitely worth it for me. I haven't looked back since.

Just got the update this morning. The only thing I've noticed with it that I don't like is you can't change the lock screen style anymore. It appears you can add widgets by swiping right, but you can't set the main lock screen to anything specific, like you could in 4.3.
