  1. What sort of plan do you have? Anything special about it? I am all over this if there is EVDO roaming country wide. I looked quick at the specs and it does show support for 1xRTT data (though maybe it would jusdt show EVDO and LTE or something). Digiblur, is the PRL version number posted above something you have seen before?
  2. Saw it but was a bit suspect since it was never mentioned before (would be a big deal to many I think) as a feature. Is this the first phone to do this for non-business only plans? Is this the way LTE handsets will be going forward?
  3. Ever since I have been able to add PRL 11119 to my Epic for EVDO roaming I have been perfectly happy with my service (i dont roam much but it helps when I do). Will I be able to add the 11119 PRL to this phone or do the new phones that are LTE capable use a different PRL numbering scheme?
  4. From Sprints Facebook: "Motorola PHOTON Q™ 4G LTE, the first 4G LTE-enabled smartphone from Sprint with a full QWERTY keyboard and international roaming capabilities, is available for pre-order beginning today. Available starting Aug. 19, Motorola PHOTON Q will cost $199.99 (excludes taxes) with a new line of service or eligible upgrade and two-year service agreement."
  5. Ahh crap. Didnt even notice the battery was sealed in. Grrr...There have been times when my epic has been so locked up i needed to pull the battery. What are we suppose to do here?
  6. Not really. Emailing, running commands via connectbot for example, answering support tickets etc with a touch screen is damn near impossible. if you only use your phone for texting and watching online videos like the masses then yea you have no use for a keyboard.
  7. Yea I knew about the embedded SIM for LTE, when I saw "(SIM is embedded in the phone, GSM SIM is locked and not removable)" I thought maybe there were two SIMs (one for LTE one for GSM). If there is two I dont know why they couldnt make it accessible for the non-LTE GSM part, especially being a phone geared towards business travelers. Ahh well, not like I have any international traveling planned anyways, besides Canada.
  8. Lame. Well, I guess this would just mean you wouldnt have to rent a GSM phone from sprint if you traveled overseas then.
  9. I really want this phone. When it says the GSM SIM is locked and not removable, how can one travel overseas and buy a local SIM, i thought this was the idea of a world phone?
  10. Oh honestly I dont know. I have read the pains of the world phone iphone features I had just assumed it was the same now. Good to hear. I think I will be all over this if it has a keyboard. Although my Epic works perfect now....grrr...
  11. Please please please have a keyboard! How hard is it to get sprint to unlock the world phone capabilities for international travel so I can put a SIM in it?
  12. If this thing has a keyboard it will be MY next phone. I was getting worried i was stuck with my Epic for a long time with no hope for anoher great phone.
