These guys were working the 'big' tower, that's my tech talk, i mentioned before on Wade Ave and Ridge Rd, Raleigh. You all know more about what this means, if anything, than I. They were specifically working with those large Semi Cylinder 'things' on the top row. This was Thursday 9/13/12.

I have noticed over the last 2 weeks, or so, that the 3g has definitely increased on the speed front. I live near crabtree valley mall, Glenwood ave. creedmoor and drive by the big tower at meredith college everyday (m-f) near the whole foods on Wade Ave. I run speedtest almost every morning and see increased speeds//pings to wilson, nc ranging from 150ms to 200ms pings and speeds have been up around 1300-1600...up is still around 600-700. These speeds slow as the day goes along, down 700 - 900 and up around 300-400...all of this to say there has been an improvement on the both speeds that seems to be holding...no sign yet of LTE...I have an htc evo lte and standing by for signal.

no drop calls for me, yet. there was the Friday night outage a couple of months ago and then my wife and I had a shorter 'drop-out' several weeks back, but didn't last too long. Otherwise, status qou.

no $ exchanged yet....just gave my info and they printed out a pre-order receipt and then I received the same receipt in my email. The rep told me that they were waiving the $50 pre-order cards....not sure what that means...I did get a flyer in the mail from bestbuy: $50 for old evo 4g and $50 gift card....I also signed up earlier in the year for $50 off on next upgrade if done with bestbuy mobile before calendar year end. We'll see how this all shakes out, hopefully on the 18th. Chris

just pre-ordered at BB....on preorder receipt: Thank you for reserving your order of the [sPRINT HTC EVO 4G LTE]. The estimated date of arrival is [ Friday, May 18th]. Best Buy will notify you when this is ready to be picked up. cant wait...
