I believe Hyundai (up to 2015 models those have Verizon) and all uconnect models from Fiat/Chrysler/jeep/dodge/ram have CDMA via sprint radios built in at least through 2016 so not sure how quickly sprint can phase out major accounts like those.

I'm probably wrong but I thought SoftBank wanted to use Sprint stores to sell more than just phones.
This could be a huge PR win. Saving some stores and who knows maybe even staff.

Except someone doesn't like it,...

Great move for SoftBank

except for the top 10 large metro areas -- b41 seems like its a "fail" in most areas where Sprint has issues with penetration issues.
I'm still longish on Sprint -- but I think TMO will beat Sprint only in metro areas on speed! And the real bells will keep customers on QoS.
Just my pov
- in my home areas uploads are typically 30% higher.
- wouldn't clickbate work better if sprint was reported as equal to ATT and vzw?
- the link does put TMO down with sprint, except raw speed.

Thanks
Trust me I'm not a TMO user Just edge where I am.
But I'm a fan of anything that can motivate sprint to hurry up ;-)

thought that 700mhz was their wideband roll out - from spectrum acquired from vzw?
Maybe I'm wrong. Wouldn't be the first time :-)

This to me seems impressive and more beneficial at 700mhz than b41 at 2600mhz.

Correct
But step back for a moment
Sprint says we will cut your bill in half.
I'd say the majority still have an old subsidized plan. Which doesn't work anymore at any carrier to get the best price.
So customer sees new bill and maybe $20 less than before and service might not be as good.
At the end of the day it's a great promotion. It's just that customers need to relearn how to buy cell plans.
