Does anyone know all the LTE Bands that this phone supports?
-
Aww. I was hoping Carolina West Wireless's fledgling LTE network would show up in some way. I guess that's just so new on their end it's gonna be a while before it's added.
Plus I'm not even sure what band it's on. Nothing on their website, no coverage maps, just a list of counties it's available in. It *might* be on B13 as they're in LTEiRA, but since VZW runs a skeleton B13 LTE network through most of their footprint it's probably on their own spectrum. Their website says download speeds from 10-15 mbps, so it's probably a 5x5 or maybe even a 3x3 (would make sense if in CLR). I've tried to get to a store to check on the display phones, but I'm always in Watauga County on Sundays.
They're RRPP and already have reciprocal pseudo-native 3G with Sprint so if/when it is finalized I'm guessing it'll be LTE Roaming+.
Still good news: the vast, vast swaths of USCC LTE in east and west NC are open! I'll be able to test that out in about 3 weeks on a N5X and an HTC E8. I'm finally gonna have service on that annoying stretch of I-40 about halfway from Asheville to Knoxvile!
I drive to Asheville from Knoxville all the time.I guess I have an older phone since I can only get 3G from USCC where Sprint is not available, but I have coverage to whole way, even in the gorge, not to mention parts of WNC.

[attachment=12957:Screenshot_2015-05-02-19-57-09.pngBand 41 in Athens Tennessee
Is this near the interstate or in town? Was at the Ruby Tuesday by the interstate yesterday and went from 3G to bands 25/26.

Was in rural Western North Carolina. My phone said it was roaming, but I noticed that the tower location said Sprint with a North Carolina address.I wonder if Sprint is adding towers there.
-
I've noticed Band 41 pretty much all over Knoxville and the Tri Cities. What pisses me off is the tower near my job that has Band 26 turned off. I either have to drop to 3G or use wifi if my phone doesn't drop to Band 25. This tower is in between 2 towers broadcasting Band 41. Has anyone noticed that Band 41 is not broadcasting in Athens, Tn lately?

I wonder if the Sprint version of the Eye will be the Harman/Kardon edition.

I'm still having intermittent trouble with dialer codes and voicemail notifications. Did anyone download the .4 RUU and find these things fixed?
Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk
I tried the .4 update, for some reason my bluetooth would not work anymore and I was still having problems with voicemail notifications. Going back to the .3 update and see what happens.

somethings up, my nexus 5 [tri-band] picked up LTE automatically for the 1st time today. i got a great signal from Costco in Ringgold to the base of Signal Mtn where it switched to 3g. about a 1/3 of the way up the W Road it [unbelievably] switched back to LTE and stayed there till i got 2 miles from my "dream shack in Sequatchie County with the country's fastest internet [well its a Gig up and down]". when i got out of the car in the "driveway" it switched back to LTE. this is pretty cool, now i can wait for spark in Chattanooga, ha ha ha

Can anyone verify if you can turn the shutter sound off on this phone?
-
Checked a Tri-band phone, it was working from Lenoir City all the way to Powell.
-
Is this the kind of thing that happens to all tri band phones if the fallback switch isn't installed yet?
Appears so.

Yes but the way I read it it's speaking more on the ability to connect to LTE. I understand my phone disconnecting from LTE and reverting back to CDMA, but it doesn't mention CDMA itself being inoperable, unless I'm missing something. I've set my phone to CDMA ONLY and it absolutely cannot stay connected period. As I'm typing this it just disconnected from all services and is now searching for CDMA again. 3g has worked properly and let me access a simple Web page for about 30 seconds grand total today. The rest of the day it's been working with all its might to just connect to 3G and actually have a working Internet connection. There's no telling how many calls or texts I should've gotten today. This is all happening while I'm set to cdma only. No LTE involved whatsoever. Again I could be reading it wrong but this seems to be something more. I wish someone in my area with a triband device could chime in and say yes mine is the same or no that sounds worse than mine.
A friend of mine has a triband phone and his is doing the same thing as yours. Which is one of the reason I am holding out on buying the new HTC phone.

Any updates on this network? Apparently the Knoxville area is finally getting the fallback switch upgrades. Anyone have updates on how that's going?
Yeah, Tri-Band phones are going crazy.
-
Can any tell me how the camera compares to the Evo 4G LTE?
-
Just had an HD voice call today. It was interesting considering that I only have 4g upgrades done here. The person calling me lives here but was in Nashville, I guess that made a difference.
-
Since the update, is anyone having problems with the phone overheating very quickly? I think I might have nailed the problem to the update in the radio.
-
I think I made mine angry. Followed the steps, but got a USB error when trying to install. I just have a black screen with silver HTC letters on the phone, and no input whatsoever seems to change it. Any suggestions?
Edit - Nevermind, I was able to recover it and try again.
Edit 2 - Every time I try to start the update process, my PC (win 8.1) says "the USB device is not recognized" and fails the install.
Are you using the latest RUU for windows 8.1?

So a couple of weeks ago I got bored and drove to Dunlap, Tn. I guess I was the only one on the network according to the speeds I was getting.

Pretty much the same thing you reported, I was able to get data using 3G. When trying to make calls, I got "To make a collect call to a mobile phone or a land line phone, press 1, to use or purchase a prepaid pin with your credit card, dial 2 now, for free directory assistance dial 411". Everything seems to be fine today.

Anyone have problems with service yesterday? From Knoxville to the Tri-Cities, I thought I was going to lose my mind.
-
Picking up 4G on Downtown West near Target, RSRP is -66, I am assuming that is the tower near Bearden High School.

Most people could care less about whether they have 40 megabits or 5, it's not going to have a "shift" of customers due to it. The masses just care if their facebook pulls up and they can watch their cat videos on youtube.

Looking at the leaked pictures, I can't tell if it has a micro sd slot.

If this phone has better RF performance than the EVO 4G LTE, I might get it.
