HTC U Ultra
in HTC
With the U Ultra they sent them out a week or two ahead of the rest but there's no set date.

Nice, I will see if I can join the Elevate group and jump on that early shipping bandwagon.

Ordered mine thru the Elevate link so early shipping. Would prefer to have the black one but since my 10 and A9 are both bricked and my M8 is wore out I decided not to wait.

How quickly will you receive the phone?

Hearing rumors that Uh Oh protection will not be available due to the phone having a IP67 rating. I guess that glass back is drop proof.

I was wondering about that myself thanks for the definitive no!
The only color I like really is the red. That is not available. Another sore point. As nice as the phone looks it doesn't blend well with there sense UI interface! But love the tech, network capabilities. I'll wait to think about them when I have 3x ca readily available too me consistently.
Got an email stating that Sprint is offering 150 off, guess I can do that and sell the Amazon Echo Dots to get the price close to what HTC.com is offering with the HTC 10 buy back, if that's possible.
I am not too fond of the blue, probably will go with black.

This information leads me to think the unlock version will work with Sprint 4G, but I am not too sure about 3G:
4G LTE (up to 600Mbps download speed/with 2CA, 3CA Carrier Aggregation and 256 QAM, service dependent): FDD: Bands B1/B2/B3/B4/B5/B7/B8/B12/B13/B17/B20/B25/B26/B28/B66 TDD: Bands B41 with 2CA, 3CA, 4CA Carrier Aggregation
3G UMTS: 900/850/AWS/1900/2100 (B8/B5/B4/B2/B1 with 900/850/AWS/1900/2100 diversity), HSDPA 42, HSUPA 5.76
2G/2.5G - GSM/GPRS/EDGE: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz- 1

Is that still a thing? I haven't heard anything about it since the HTC One M9.
Well one can hope. I wonder if we will have wifi calling with this phone.

And if you do the TeamHTC trade in thing, they'll give you $250 for the HTC 10. Much more than any other trade in site will give for it. Gazelle won't even make me an offer for the HTC 10.
I'm thinking about trading in my HTC 10 as well. Unfortunately HTC.com only lets me get it in Blue. No other color options, but maybe getting it through HTC.com will ensure we get the phone without any SprintID or any other preloaded apps.
Also my main question is does the HTC U11 come with HPUE support?
and what about the Uh Oh protection credit?

Turns out the HTC U11 is launching on Sprint first. Any interest?
$650 on their website.
Obviously with the side touch features it is not a phone that works well with a case.
I am considering buying this phone.
HTC's website shows that the unlocked version will work with ATT and TMobile, but other articles include Verizon. I wonder what the reasoning was to not make an unlock version that will work with Sprint.
I also got an email from HTC with a code for $50 dollars off, I guess I can use that and trade in my HTC 10.

Tried sending a SMS and MMS on wifi only on my HTC 10. Sadly neither would go through.

Don't know if this is a Sprint issue or HTC 10 issue. When traveling to a C Spire area with no Sprint coverage, I notice that my phone will connect to their ( C Sprire') lte band for about 2 seconds then it will connect and stay on their 3G band.
Power cycled, along with updating the prl and profile doesn't fix the issue.
If I remember correctly, we are suppose to be able to connect to their LTE network.
-
Do a profile update, it might help. Because I have it on my One A9 that updated last week to Nougat.

Unfortunately it doesn't appear to have wifi calling enabled, don't know if it is a Sprint or HTC issue.
-
Well so far so good. Only complaint is the lack of wifi calling.

Has anyone downloaded the new update? I don't want to be a guinea pig

Got the update this afternoon. Has anyone noticed that the app still compresses images when sent to a non-Sprint device or a Sprint device that does not have RCS enabled?
-
Finally got the update this afternoon
-
I don't understand this rolllout. I have heard of other people getting the update last night. Guess I will just have to wait and see.
-
RCS hasn't enabled for you in GM? Mine enabled no problem after a few minutes of use. On the latest FW and build.
No, I do not have the advanced option screen to enable enhanced features. You have it on your M9?
-
I hope the next update enables support for Wifi-Calling. Still waiting on the update to enable RCS on Google Messenger.

How is the service in Pigeon Forge, Knoxville and surrounding areas?
Voice is great. Have noticed that some areas are slow when accessing 4G. With the tourist areas, Sprint is more reliable than other carriers, especially with all the people in the area.
-
Looks like there is a new update available. 1.80.651.6 (332.28MB) Security update by Google. Guess I will be the guinea pig.

Anyone having an issue with links in Gmail opening with the setup wizard browser instead of Chrome?
-
Is the vibrate on call connect feature not available on the HTC 10? I see the option for vibration feedback for calls, but that doesn't seem to do the trick.
-
Spoke with a Sprint agent using chat and asked if this phone is compatible with Sprint Global Roaming and the reply was yes. About to buy this phone, seems only one store in town has it. Kinda weird the lack of phones and demo units available.
Unless I am reading the sprint website wrong, is the 24 month option a lease?

LTE Bands: 2 / 4 / 5 / 7 / 12 / 13 / 25 / 26 / 41
Thanks, is it true about a lack of GSM support?

Can anyone verify if wifi calling is available, also how is RCS working with this phone? When I send a MMS to a non Sprint phone, the app(Android messages) compresses the picture so bad you almost can't view the picture.
